Good quality waterproof boots in Canada
I have an upcoming airsoft game on the 2-4 weekend and I was in the market for some boots since my last pair have finally given out. I'm looking to purchase a new pair and I need them to arrive by next weekend.
Does anyone know any good Canadian retailers that have good prices and can ship them to me within a week? (Pretty sure just regular express post can do this no problem) I'm looking at anything waterproof, 8 or 9", and that has a side zipper (together). Magnum and Original Swat both have some good models, but if anyone has any recommendations, they would be much appreciated. This post is mainly to find out what I can buy on such short notice and where Last edited by -Shade; May 10th, 2013 at 16:10.. Reason: accidentally words |

I bought mine in an Army Issue and they do an excellent job. If theres one close to you, go and check if they have some good ones.

Bass Pro sometimes has some "tactical" boots, I got one pair of Original Swat from them, you can also try MD Charlton they stock a large selection.
Original Swat Chase 9" boots are really nice. |

Picked up Afgan surplus army boots at army issue. Played with them at flag raiders and in the snow and mud. Mud was about a foot deep and my feet stayed dry the whole time. Not even a speck of mud on my socks.

http://www.originalshoe.ca/ is Original Swat dealer in Canada. They are in Orangeville and very friendly. I wear their boots all day and they are waterproof and lighter than most running shoes. Eh also have in readable customer service. If there are any problems with the boot, they usually replace them on the spot. Sometimes you get a discount if you go to the store and say they are for professional use.

Finding a good pair of boots isn't the problem - getting them broken in a couple of weeks is the problem. A full weekend Op in brand new boot, ouch!!!

Why don't you go to Tactical Products Canada? Its fairly close to Oakville, 15min drive. They have Original Swats there.
Dean (guy that works there) would highly recommend you not to get ones with zipper, coz they will break easily!

Get a set of good old CF combats and a can of CF water repellant from any surplus store around you. That should work unless you are planing to swim... CF combats don't have zippers but those things will serve you for couple of years if taken care of... I killed 3 pairs in 9 years. Mind you, not just during airsoft. Crossed water ankle high a bunch of times today with worn our pair. Didn't get wet...
P.S Whatever you get, still keep a pair or two of dry socks P.P.S I played a night winter game wearing a pair (when it was newish) at old Flag Raiders. Running around snow banks. Two pairs of worn socks and I was nice comfy up until the end.

Thank you for all the information guys. Consensus seems to be that zippers don't last. On-off convenience is great with those, but meh, waterproof and something that lasts is more important. I'll definitely check out these places.

I have a good pair of Coleman camp/hiking boots from CanTire a 4 years back. Still works great, tested up to 6" of water with no leaks.
Walked my dog in winter with them and was always cousy. Did some week long camping/portages with lots of off trail bush wacking. No ankle injuries and only one slip at high angle mossy boulder. ! On mobile; sorry for any spelling mistakes or autocorrects!

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

You want jungle boots not goretex boots
Waterproof boots are for airforce personnel who only encounter inch deep puddles on tarmacs, if you submerge them, or water wicks down your legs, water gets in the boot and doesn't get out Its no fun carrying around 3lb of water in each boot |
