Something New From Tokyo Marui.....

Just so you all know... T.M. will be releasing something "revolutionary" according to one of their engineers. Word in the wind is that it's going to be gas-operated and completely different.

Here's the ad that's being put up throughout Japan....

"Tokyo Marui - New System"
Quote:
Tokyo Marui will announce the soft air of the new system in May.
The system was applied for a patent in 7 countries around the world.
18 years of age or older is the target the new product.
To show in May, is a gift and Tokyo Marui product of ¥ 100,000 minutes, a new product to only one person.

REVOLUTIONARY BLOW BACK.

You heard it here first.

TM has been criticized for being less revolutionary the pasted few years, interested to see if what they bring out is as they say. I am kinda doubting it though.

And I bet that "revolutionary system" will at first be available in M4/M16 only. :\

Well currently there is at least one investor who is interested in out-right buying TM and making them more international friendly. Funny as he's Japanese and hates Japanese for being small minded.

We will see what happens...

That would be both awesome and bad, depending on how such friendliness is handled.

Larger BB capacity mags, remove the gas from the mags and build the gas chamber into the buffer tube.

Doing that means bye bye aftermarket stocks and bye bye recoil ? I mean i'm using a M93 stock and there's no way of putting an original M4 buffer tube with that. Not to mention having a propane gas chamber right next to my face is something I don't really trust.

Maybe the gas gonna be in the stock, some paintball marker started to do this so it's less ugly (they put an 8oz tank in it, if my memory is good)

Then again, this makes it impossible for future owners to change their stock for a RS one or aftermarket one. It's not very user-friendly if they decide to pull that off. Also paintball markers do not have recoil like most GBBRs on the market.

Maybe they have a permission to make full metal gun now, for internationnal retailers. Seriously I have no clue what they can change on a GBBR for now if they want to be user-friendly except starting to make full metal guns :/ .
