Vest Inquiry
Hi all! I'm looking for a decent tan vest probably ranging from 80-150$. I did a lot of searching and general consensus is, don't get cheap gear. I'm not too sure what brand/kind of vest I want.
I'm mainly going to do CQB events and looking for a tan coloured one. Ill probably be carrying 3-4 M4 mags and 3-4 pistol mags as well. Are plate carriers integrated into the vests, or are they generally optional for aesthetics and realism? Any suggestions would help, even directing me to a decent surplus store in Toronto would be good Cheers! |

Based on my own experience I would recommend Pantac gear, slightly more expensive than Condor but IMO it is better quality as well.

Lol by full deal i mean something like this http://www.pantacgear.com/index.php/...uctid-111.html (since pantac was suggested by mzo.) Where it covers your whole chest and back as opposed to just being solely for mags.

If a plate carrier is what you want and you don't have a ton of money to spend I would also suggest Pantac or Flyye. Both are about the same price as condor but the quality is significantly better.
I know Flyye has plate carrier sets that include everything like mag pouches, utility pouches, etc. These setup a are usually a little cheaper since it is a package. Pantac may also offer the same but I'm not too sure. As for places to buy you can buy them from overseas dealers for fairly cheap, just watch the shipping costs closely. Ehobby Asia in particular has a huge selection in every color from AOR1 to olive drab.http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/flyye.html |

My personal favourite as of now
http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/combat-ge...ig-a-tacs.html My cheapo from airsoftpark could fit a 3L bladder on the back, not sure about this one but looks like a compartment there. I paid a little less than this for my cheapo but would of definitely bought this one. Had a few failures on mine that I fixed so now it's solid. Pros- 1. Front panel can be folded down if it floats your boat 2. Build in M4 mag pouchs, can hold up to 12 mags 3. Light weight, can be worn as a harness if need be 4. Molle on the back *5. Possible place to insert a bladder* 6. Molle in front of integrated pouches Cons- 1. Molle on the chest panel is kind of useless, anything big there will give you trouble when removing and inserting mags. 2. No molles on the side 3. Integrated pouches so they can't be moved

Have fun waiting for your vest, Canadaknives is a con and theif. I had a bad deal with him and had a hell of a fight to get my money back even with Paypals help. There is a thread all about that store and his other operation Ontarioknives. Since your new I highly recommend reading all the threads you can, you will learn alot and save yourself some hassels along the way.

I have had excellent experiences with Condor. My advice is go back that route. They offer many different vests, rigs and plate carriers. Many retailers carry them including Army Issue a retailer on this site and a really good guy. Read the reviews on him. You will not be disappointed. Heck he can Age Verify you aswell!
Just make sure you get a MOLLE vest. |
