Importing real steel furniture from the USA?
I KNOW YOU CANNOT IMPORT GUNS, AND I AM NOT ASKING WHERE TO BUY THEM.
Now that that's out of the way, on to the question. This may be the wrong forum, but from reading many threads you all on here seem very well versed on legal matters. Now what I want to do is import real-steel East German made AKM furniture from the USA to Canada, to use on either my paintball Type-56 AK or an airsoft AKM (once again, i'm not asking where to get these) that hasn't been purchased yet. The AK-47 is prohibited in Canada, and I don't hold a Prohibited PAL. So would the CBSA seize these items? It would be a plastic East German buttstock, pistol grip and handguard set. Thank you in advance. |

as long as it's not a receiver or an ITAR restricted item, you are fine.

How much sand CAN you fit in your vagina!?
|
Exactly right! Likely though, your easiest method acquiring said piece, is to find a Canadian gun shop, and have them bring it in for you.

Well, anything modern and/or cool at any rate.

If they are some army surplus left from cold war imported to US from East blocks (which is common for East German stuff and old AK furnitures), probably not.

Ask the seller the US export (ITAR) system has gotten truly bizarre. They will know if they can ship it out of the US or not. It does not matter when or where it was made all that matters is it landed in the US.
I can not see the part you want being an issue but only a US seller will know. |

They do ship to Canada, I have ordered many stuff (mostly eastern block bayonets) in several times from northridgeinc.
But their website don't work for ordering from out side of US, so you will need to call them to make the order. If you email them to ask questions they may not reply it for weeks, so I would suggest call them to ask any questions as well.

Thanks everyone for answering. I'll give them a call tonight (they are 4 hours behind) and order. If and when I make a custom rifle with the parts, I'll be sure to post it in the Modifications and Upgrades section of this forum. I plan to use a WE AK PMC as a base gun.

I emailed them and they replied quite quickly! Also when one package was lost in the postal system they quickly sent a replacement!

I called them tonight and they said they were open Monday through Thursday in the office. Looks like I'll have to wait to order my stuff...
