Shipping to Japan
Will a high power spring for a bolt action pass customs inspection to enter Japan?
I know their laws dont allow them more then 1J for their guns I have sent a PSS10 130 spring (380fps ish) to someone there, the tracking says Pending customs inspection. Just curious if it will pass or if i sould have repackaged it in a plain box or something? Guess i should have thought of that ahead of time lol EDIT it now says on the Japan post site Departure from inward office of exchange I guess that is a good thing cause it says "inward"

It's just a part.... I don't see why not.
Hell companies like Laylax and PDI make like "300% springs" and whatnot so it's not like it's an illegal item. Just illegal for your gun to have more than 328 FPS on .20's (1J).

How much sand CAN you fit in your vagina!?

I heard from a supplier over that way that if you were caught with an upgrade spring, you could be arrested or fined. I don't know how much truth there is to that, but who knows. Actually, Aquamarine could probably tell you.

"bb bukakke" KING!

is the vendor upgrading a gun for export? There are exemptions for this apparently. Echigoya advertises that they are legally allowed to upgrade guns for export out of japan, but I've emailed them at their webstore and they never replied.

Hectic,
Kashino will not sale the upgrading snipe in Japan so it's not a prob. Laylax and some other companies are from Japan. They making spring stronger than what is legal in Japan for only one reason: export. If Japan Custom stop the package, Kashino will just explain that's for export to a client in North America. pm me with what he a quick text of what he said. This is my last EMS with a spring in Japan, like you trying to do: Nov 19 19:16 Posting/Collection HONG KONG Nov 19 22:07 Dispatch from outward office of exchange KOWLOON D HONG KONG Nov 20 12:17 Arrival at inward office of exchange TOKYO INTERNATIONAL Tokyo metropolis 138-8799 Nov 20 15:15 Held by import Customs TOKYO INTERNATIONAL Tokyo metropolis 138-8799 Nov 20 20:39 Departure from inward office of exchange TOKYO INTERNATIONAL Tokyo metropolis 138-8799 Nov 21 5:18 Processing at delivery Post Office KANDA Tokyo metropolis 101-8799 Nov 21 12:04 Final delivery KANDA Tokyo metropolis 101-8799 Mat. Kashino from Echigoya always replied my email. Strange...
The only things you need to know if you asking for any gas part ( mag or whatever looks mag) , Law in Japan ask to remove the valve during the shipping. Mat. |

I was told by the folks at Echigoya, Akihabara that they will NOT upgrade guns even for export. I was going to get them to upgrade mine (even go so far as buying something new from them and upgrading it) so I can ship it back to Canada but it was a no-go. One other shop said they upgrade but only under the table, so to speak.
