Why dont you buy some good ol' propane and use the extra money to buy more airsoft kit?

Does it need to be green gas?
If you're fine with making an initial investment of ~$25 for an AI adaptor kit, which comes with a nozzle and some silicone oil, you can just use propane, which is cheap no matter where you go. (All green gas is, is propane with pre-mixed oil) If for some reason you need green gas, though, I have no idea. |

1 can of propane 16oz-less than 5 dollars.
use the money you've saved (you now have twice as much gas!) and buy an AI (airsoft innovations) propane adapter kit and it comes with silicon oil. Follow instructions that come with AI Adapter. A little bit of math. Cheapest I've ever seen Green Gas-$15.00 plus shipping (and that retailer was alberta based and it was a sale) FOR AN 8oz CAN I can get 3 tanks of Propane for $15.00 at the local crappy tire when I go to get new lightbulbs. 3 cans times 16ozs. Thats double the size of can X3. EDIT: I've typed this out like 4 times recently. THIS IS SOLID INFORMATION. |

Why I want Green gas,
Simple to answer. I tried it and it smell nothing when shooting indoor. I have the Propane adaptor with silicone port, work just fine, but propane smell all over the place and give me headache after two mag shoot. With greengas, no headache, no smell. Some will say that Propane odor is a warning to protect you, I agree, but I never shoot more than 10-15 mag per shooting cession indoor (small pistol mag), after I get the garage wide open for ventilation, both with propane and greengas. But Greengas is Fu*** expensive! the bottle I bought from AirsoftQc was close to 28$ with taxes!!!! and seams to be less powerfull than propane. but smell nothing to me. But I prefer to pay more with less power and got no headache after... Last edited by waltherglocksmith; November 30th, 2012 at 15:40.. |

lol... breathing the scent is one thing, but breathing in propane is another.. whether or not you use Gg or P you're breathing in the same gas... ventilate properly.

the school girl fragrance (there a quote for that somewhere hehehe) added is just masking the fact that you are still breathing in Propane. The effects are the same. It's all in your head if it's not!

not in my head like you said, propane scent additive give me headache and green gas no. so big difference for me here. Even outside propane give me same effect.
So, no chance for having cheaper GS around montreal?? |

The cheapest I can find, still 15 $ a can and you have to buy a case. Hope it help. Due to ASC rule, I can't name the retailer. You have to PM and they locate in Montreal.

Being sensitive to the added smell of propane is a valid reason to go with green gas, but propane is not something you should be breathing in regardless. The smell is there so that you are aware that propane is in the air, and in your case, that you should be firing in a well ventilated area.
Can't force you to make your own green gas, but if the smell is lingering long enough to give you a head ache (which I think is just your body's remembered response to experiencing propane, similar to how you might feel like vomiting after smelling a certain food that made you sick in the past), you may want to think about firing in a better environment. |
