Echo 1 MTC not shooting
So I just got a M.T.C. 1 from echo 1 with the RIS and crane stock. The high caps that come with the box unwind the moment they click into the magwell. This started happening after I loaded in the first mag and shot off 2-3 rounds. After I pulled the mag out and reinserted it, it unwound itself even more. Now, the gun won’t even dry fire with any battery. When the trigger is pulled, there is a soft click and a very slight whine. I don’t know if this is one issue or two. They just happened at the same time. Do you have any idea what could be causing this?

Holy crap! Contact the retailer that sold it to you. If that is not an option try a different known good battery and A different mag.

I've done both.. and i didnt get it via a retailer, I won it in a raffle.. Any idea what broke? I'm willing to fix it, i just dont know whats wrong. I'm guessing maybe the motor? But that doesn't explain the mag problem.

As for the hicap problem, that is normal. Click your mag in the gun then wind it. It should be able to hold normaly from then on. |

UPDATE:
Diconnected motor entirely from gearbox and it spun when trigger was pulled. Reinserted back into gearbox and got one good shot before the same issue happened again and it went back to just making a soft click It is the same sound when the battery is disconnected. My guess is that the contact on the trigger gets knocked loose somehow when shot Last edited by Top.Gun74; July 8th, 2012 at 22:57.. |

Did you adjust the motor height with the 3mm set screw at the bottom of the motor cage? Because that is what it sounds like.

Charge your battery. If that doesn't work, get a better/more powerful battery.

(Its a v3 gearbox fyi) Well I thought I had it, I moved the plastic piece with the contact over by the fire select switch and got great results. Reassembled, it shot one bb before going back to the same thing. Motor adjustment ranges from silence to clicking (the old problem). I'm thinking there is a bigger underlying problem..
Charged battery to full via a smart charger, no results used another 9.6 I had lying around and no result even though both batteries worked in my other guns Last edited by Top.Gun74; July 9th, 2012 at 21:33.. |
