New MAG M16 and MP5 Plastic Magazines

Has anybody heard of these or tried them out?
Saw them on Redwolf Airsoft.

Comes in packs of 8 and are plastic
M16 mags carry 120 rnds
MP5 mags carry 90 rnds

These new MAG mags are more expensive than STAR mags, carry more ammo, and come with 2 less magazines.

From the sources I use to get airsoft stuff, a box of 10 STAR 30 round mags for the M16 cost 90 + shipping. The MAG brand ones cost exactly the same, through the means I get my airsoft stuff from. From what I read and understood, the M16 type mags were only 100 rounds. So you pay equal price for either the capacity to carry 300 or 800 rounds. I'd rather sacrifice the two mags for the extra 500 rounds. Also, UNCompany lists the construction as plastic, so I would guess that they are basically the same as the STAR 30 round mags. I have 4 of the STARs, and although they function flawlessly, and look "not-horrible" in my SR-16, they are VERY lightweight and feel very "toyish". But at about 9 bucks a pop, they ain't half bad.

To thread jack - they work great for me. Only loaded them up twice though.

Got four MP5 mags - $10 each + shipping.

Look just the same as a Star - seems same color, etc.

I really recomend them. And yes, they are plastic. Just like Star.

I've 16 of the MAG mags for the Sig and they needed some lube for some proper feeding. Three of them also had damage/flaws on the tabs on the side. That was Minor IMO though. I've yet to seriously use them so I've still my fingers crossed. However, for the price....you can't really go wrong.

personally and from people I have sold them to, they feel more solid then Star but are still made of plastic. Perhaps it's the type of plastic they use or how they build them but they just "feel" better.

As for fit and funtion, a few of them need a drop of oil to feed correctly but this only happens a couple of times. i have not personally seen any noticable defects in manufacturing so overall i'd have to say they are very good quality. The mags so far have fit and performed very well in all the guns people have purchased them for from me. The only complaint so far is a couple drops of oil to fix a feeding issue. Other then that, they work 100%.

For the price you can't beat the deal.

I see that MAG also has has 100-rd G36 mags, a pair in a box for $18USD. Anyone have experience with them, or would they likely be comparable to the Star mags, as with the MP5/M15 mags? Four 100rd mags for the same price as a single 50rd CA mag... tough choice....
