brand new CA mp5 problem

Just got my classic army BT mp5a5 and it didnt come with a battery or charger so i went and bought a 9.6 1600 mah and a standard wall charger. i charged it up for 5 hours also i bought connector sets and idunno if any of them are the ACTUAL right size but everything clicked in.. but after hooking it all up its not shooting not doing a thing, could it be the gun? better not be... or the battery or connector sets.. im going to take it into a richmond airsoft tommorow and see what they say.. a nice drive

that would mean taking the entire body off the gun to check the fuse

Wall chargers are crap. I don't even use the wall chargers I get with non airsoft stuff.
Try someone else's battery, if that IS the problem, then get a better charger

i think it may be the charger.. i went to the field sunday and had to borrow a battery off optix and it worked after abit of wiggling and pulling of the wires from my gun but after that worked perfect.. today i went down to poco and returned my other battery and got a new one and the same thing is happening.. cant even got a single shot off after playing with the wires =[ i noticed when i plugged in the battery the first time it created a spark and after 5 hours later of charging and thinking maybe 5 hours was not enough i put it back on and it did not spark, maybe an issue of some kind

What fps is it shooting/advertised? Depending on how hot it is that tiny 1600mah 9.6 would have a hard time pulling it.

Check and make sure that charger of yours can charge your type of battery in the first place. Check if your battery is either an NiMh or a NiCd and if your wallcharger can even charge it at all. Most if not all crappy black generic wallchargers cannot charge NiMh unless specified and force charging a NiMh battery on a NiCd charger will damage your batteries! cause if you're batteries are sparking when you're plugging them in you're definitely doing something wrong.

Also I'm guessing you have the CA Mp5 with the sliding stock, there is no fuse on that specific model so you dont need to worry about if. But if it turns out it does then it looks like a white elongated pill just open her up and check if its burnt out. Also the fuse is never inside the guns body it's always near the battery connectors.

Yet another example why NO ONE should use dumb chargers.
