To be honest the thread about Importation is very outdated. I don't want to risk buying a $150 RIS System just to get seized. So, are RIS system still allowed through customs?

Yes an RAS or RIS is allowed.

KA has two models of CASV; one is made to accept batteries and the other is "real specs" with the reinforcements on the inside, but you can't fit a battery. So be careful which one you choose.

see comparison:

OH HELL!!! I just bought the KA casv from Redwolf. As far as I can tell... it cleared customs, I am just waiting for it to arrive. Had I known I could have gotten real steel in Canada, I would have just gotten that instead. Even Vltor didn't respond to my inquiries about buying in Canada. -_-

There are alot of gun dealers that sells vltor items, even my 15 min. walk to my local gun shop have them..you want real steal...I suggest you to look at real steal forums....there is a huge difference in the finish between KA and the real deal...I know this because, I had both a while back....
