We hi-capa's v4.3
alrigth well, toronto airsoft is having a sale and there pistols are at a price that i can afford. I am gone tonigh to a hand ball practise and will probably buy the pistol afterwards so i have no time to research.. just got back from a trip.. didn't have time then... so iam just wondering for 150, is a We 4.3 Hi-capa worth it. how long will it last if i take care of it and the pros and cons of it, it would be greatly apreciated.

i know that by getting age verified i can obtain many more products that are better, however i am just asking how good of a product We hi-capa's are. would it be better if i go with a kjw 1911 meu? like how long is the We's product life span?

As far as the Hicapa goes, I've heard they're pretty decent units. $150 will be a decent price. I've fired them and the kick is nice.
I don't particularly endorse TOAirsoft because of my past experiances with them. I will caution you however about holsters. The mag release button on the hicapa is a bit long, and my buddy didn't watch his mags when playing and one popped right out of his gun on the field, never to be found. Hope it helps. |

The WE clear receivers have a habit of breaking/cracking after not much use. Not worth it because the gun becomes useless after.

Just a heads up, the PX4 is a nicer gun at that price but is sold out. It has a tinted plastic lower, but the frame is reinforced with metal, and the slide mounts to metal rails. Its not really made by WE, but everyone just refers to it as a WE gun. It has some barrel wobble but at these prices what do you expect Hope that helps. |

so like many of you stated the lower reciever cracks, is there any replacement ones or metal ones that i could buy, if so how much would of those run me by and would it be worth it being those externals for the internals that are in, like would it be a waste for how well the pitol preforms?

You're bettor off getting a Tokyo Marui right away, their frame's are Metal (watchout for the few batches of "canadian legal" TM that got in Canada not so long ago, they're in plastic and really not that much cheaper)
A pistol frame is prohibited from import, and buying one in Canada will cost you probably between 300$ to 500$; yep, more than the pistol's price (they are "upgrade parts" mostly, so better quality, better tolerance, etc) |

Only if you're buying an aftermarket upgraded frame will it cost you significantly more money, but it's not worth it to put such parts on a WE, IMO. That depends... the WE I got had a cracked frame right out of the box, so for me, it effectively lasted zero minutes. LOL

For one that didn't crack on arrival....will probably last you about 3 mags before a huge noticeable crack appears.
I'm on my second clear frame thanks to warranty. The part where the hammer hits eventually snapped off and the corner had a huge crack, but then I filed it down to the point where it doesn't contact anymore. Now it just hits the back of the slide...and doesn't sound too healthy. This is not a long term solution though, you will definitely need a new frame at this point. I'm not sure if this is a generic Hi-Capa problem or not, but my gun showed a problem with the seating of the magazine. It works fine if the magazine is pushed up into the gun and held there, but otherwise, it doesn't load the next shot. There's my $0.02 and somewhat of a warning for clear frames.

Getting AV'd can get you access to sexier TM Hi-capas. I'm sorry I know you've heard this before, but being AV'd is just that much better.
