Liars
I am awair that similar posts have being posted before but i feel i need to bring to your attention the amount of cheaters in airsoft. In a sport like paintball you know for sure that you hit them because i big mark is left but not always the same for airsoft. is there someway to get people to be honest when hit? :?:

Just like real life. Keep shooting until the target goes down.
Play with ppl you respect and you won't have to overshoot.

Paintball players honest? Are you crazy? I quit the entire sport because teams owners and trainers were routinely teaching their players how to cheat effectively to give them an edge at tournaments. Not to mention the amount of bias by event organizers. Please ...
The majority of airsoft players are honest, there are very few who will actuall cheat. When a potential cheater knows that a game host has a zero tolerance cheating policy in effect and will enforce it, players generally fall into line. If someone is caught cheating at one of my events they will not be permitted out to another. I'll cut newbs a bit of slack and maybe allow them a couple warnings max, but after that they're gone.

Absolutly no room for cheating in our "gentlemens" sport. Lets not forget also that bb's are light and at extreme range with the amount of kit some of us pack youmight not feel it. i know there have been times where i have hit some one and after POLITLY pointing this out ive gotten an "oh.. nice shot i didnt feel it. Hit!" also its actually hard to tell if you hit some one, interviening brush hell air currents can cause a bb to veer in funny ways. I know Squeeks your a young fellow but a good general rule is give some one the benfit of the doubt.

yes I''ve been hit and not felt it, also hit others and they didn't feel it. I tend to let it go at first. The worst offence I have seen regularly is players who are hit either pointing out the enemy or saying where the enemy are. DEAD DON"T TALK
I am guilty of saying nice shot after dying on occasion and after thinking about it I should have shut up because me talking might give away the other teams position anyway.

More often than not I've found I can hear a bb hitting my gear even if I can't feel it. I call myself out regardless.

Yeah.. alot of this is a judgement call.
I've been hit... even caught it on vidio, and never felt it. I thought the guys GBB jammed because it was point blank. Ends up it ricochet off my suspender somewhere. So, if your unsure, either callyourself out.. or if your the shooter, give the guy the benefit of the doubt. That said... some people have a 'reputation'. My theory is... the worse the reputation... the more ammo is required for a kill. Heh, I don't mind holding a trigger down for a 50 round burst. They'll either learn, or people will get sick of them.

Well I've heard of people who waste a whole mag on known "cheaters". What you do is just hold the trigger until they call themselves out.
If they aren't known to be a cheater then let it go maybe once or twice. DO NOT do this to honest players otherwise you come off as an asshole.

I think what it all boils down to, is if you lie you go to hell. Or if you're unlucky, you wish you went to hell.

I wouldn't really worry about people cheating. After all, most airsoft players are mature adults and play the game for fun.
People just have to remember that we go airsofting for fun--Winning a game doesn't mean anything. By the way, love your avatar pic Grim. Its really cute  |

i completley agree with freedom, I quite playing paintball because the whole sport began revolving around how well you can cheat/ bounce/ wipe.
one idea i would like to toss out there is when we are playing a moderated game, if someone is identified as a cheater, the refs should have him wear a saftey vest, or some sort of vest that makes them stick out like pink marker tape, make it less fun for them to play, and also help people on the other end of the barrel; lets them know that this person is a cheater, either ignore them, or shoot em till they drop. this would at least deter people from cheating, and definatley help honest players keep their sanity while playing. and you could enforce it by saying, "hey you were stupid enough to cheat, so sorry but you have to wear this the rest of the day, and if you take it off, you can go home, make your choice." if you just boot a cheater, nobody learns. this would also deter would be cheaters as well. |

Yeah I've been hit before too and not felt it and thus did not call myself out... I mean, with the kind of vests we wear sometimes you cannot hear it or even feel it at all. That's why when I play, I try to aim for the arms or legs, chances are they're exposed and not protected by anything.
