Best T1 aimpoint clone?
Hey guys, I have a t1 clone on my PTW at the moment. I love the sight in general, other than the fact that the one I have is not nearly bright enough for a normal sunny day of gaming. I have no idea what brand it is. And no I won't be springing for a genuine T1 any time soon.
What are my options? Dytac? G&P? ZX from airsoft depot? I know Primary Arms has a replica that is supposedly pretty good, but they do not ship them internationally just like the RS sights... Anybody care to share their thoughts?! Last edited by Junky; January 27th, 2012 at 18:26.. |

This is the best T-1 replica I've used, on par with the ZX but less expensive. The Dytac I had used terrible quality glass that had easily noticed distortions, worst glass I've seen on any optic in my life. ( perhaps an overstatement, but it was bad. ) The G&P seemed to use darker coated glass then the DX version and had slightly rougher machining otherwise it was pretty well copied in design. Interesting to note, the Dytac and G&P are built to different specifications, the Dytac being smaller and the G&P longer. Dytac mounts won't work on G&P's and vice versa... That being said the DX version linked above will work with any G&P spec mount. Last edited by ArcticFox1984; February 17th, 2012 at 05:11.. |

I just got this one in the mail. I believe its the same one as what Huang carry's. Lot's of options for brightness (11 settings!) Windage and elevation both function and hold their place. Couldn't be more happier with it |

The Vortec Sparc is an aimpoint clone. But is for real steel guns so if your running a hard kicking GBBR it would be a good option. The Sparc will run you around 260 Cdn +tax. Much less than a true aimpoint. I've heard mixed reviews from real steel shooters who have picked up the optic but for airsoft it should do fine.

The best T1 clone is the Primary arms Micro red dot:
http://www.primaryarms.com/Primary_A...se_p/md-07.htm It's for live fire and I have shot AR/AK in the states with this side by side against the VORTEX lineup of RDS (Strikefire, SPARC), The Primary arms in my opinion is superior to the Both the Vortex optics listed in value. At a 100 dollars it doesnt blow the bank like a real T1 does, but at 100 dollars compared to a 30-60 dollar T1 clone it blows it out of the water hands down. I've left my RDS on at medium brightness for 2.5 months straight and it was still functioning. On a bright sunny day on the setting 7-11 you can clearly see the dot. They do not ship to Canada, they will not deal wtih Canadian suppliers or dealers, you will have to find your own way of getting it across the border through mail redirects. |

Works fine on an AEG, I wouldn't put it up against recoil without threading 2 new mounting screws into the base of the optic. After looking over my dytac KAC mount though, I'm not entirely sure I'de trust it to handle recoil without shifting the POI a bit either... I have the gen1 cnc version. Can't offer much advice otherwise, the difference between the 2 designs seems to lie in the body of the optic, and its such a small difference internet pictures are of little help in differentiating them. |

The Bushnell TRS25 is an amazing T1 micro clone, made for real steel, the only downside is that if you need a riser you have to find one that is a rail riser, as the mount is built into the optic.
EDIT: I have picked up one from CGN for 120 shipped, new in box.
