Whats Next? m4 vs acr vs sig 556
Hey guys I am an avid airsofter, and I have been airsofting for quite a few years now. I have 2 m4s and I am very happy with the both of them, but recently I have had the opportunity to choose form the "not an m4" pile, and I have come up with a few options. Now before I post the top picks of mine, I'm just going to list a few things I like about the all loved m4.
Pros: Lightweight, but still has enough weight to it to make it feel good Feels good in my hands (fairly ergonomic) Very customizable Easy to reach the trigger, selector switch etc. while holding it Easy to maneuver, not too bulky, good for anything (CQB, woodland) Realistic Points nicely Okay so now you have an idea of the features that I like in a gun, I will name my next contenders. 1. The Magpul PTS Masada Pros: Very unique lightweight supposedly very erganomic trigger switch (good trigger response) Good looking Good sized, (for CQB and Woodland) Has a lot of the features of the common m4 Adaptable/ customizable Easy takedown Cons: Very Expensive fps is a little bit slow (330fps) but not too bad, easy to fix I've heard issues about hop-up affecting the accuracy Proprietary 2. The VFC Mk16 Pros: Awesome externals Good quality internals good rof and fps (360 ish) Easily upgradable Supposed to be ergonomic customizable easy break down Cons: Not as unique, but still unique Heavier a bit bulkier 3. The King Arms Sig 556 Pros: Unique Cool electric blow-back made by king arms so, good quality externals and internals fairly customizable looks cool Cons: Pricey A little bit pricey fps is a little slow (330) but agian, no big deal not as erganomic So those are my three top picks, just wondering which one you think would be the best out of the box, I do not plan on doing too much upgrading on them so, I would like it to be ready to go out of the box. They are all based on the m4 lower reciever so that they will fit m4 mags (seeing as i already have a collection of them). The way I like my guns: Reliable, accurate+ ergonomic, then fps |

PTS Masada, yes very light, VERY ERGONOMIC, I don't know where your from but all PTS Masada sold here basically shoot 430 when they enter country and you have to down grade the spring. But 330-360ish FPS is what you want for optimal performance with BBs

G&G Sig550 if you're going for a Sig.

Oh yeah, I forgot the canadian version goes faster, I guess I was basing my facts off of US made vids (I'm fairly certain it goes slower in the US) . I've also heard that it has a quick spring change so I guess that would make I just that much easier, okay then, fps isnt a con anymore, thanks!

It doesn't use STANAGs (The name for the M4/M16 type of mag).
It takes polymer mags.

Sig 556 does though. Not sure if G&G makes one....

Nope, it takes Sig mags. They're fairly widely available, in lowcap/midcap/hicap varieties.

I'd also kind of like it to be able to bet set up as a dmr kind of rig, so accuracy and range is pretty important

Most decent AEG's have very similar accuracy and range.

I'm conflicted. Does the SIG 556 warrant summoning the SIG Signal team? I can't decide if it's an AR or a SIG.

In one word : bastard.
An attempt to make something much more reliable than an M4 but compatible with some aftermarket parts of said M4. |
