CIRAS Internal Cumberbund Purpose?
Just wondering what the purpose of it is? How many people have removed it? It just seems uncomfortable to me and it doesn't really help secure the vest to me in any way.

When you have hard plates in there it helps keeping the rig stable. Body armor has a way to find the most unconfortable position on its own.

Ah okay, well I've only got some foam "armor" in it right now. Was gonna get some replica SAPI plates just to make it form better, will give the cumberbund a go again when I get them.

I don't find any difference with the real chicken plates in. The vest stays snug without the internal cumberbund and doesn't move around. Ditch them if you want.
