just me .. or do recent gaurder clears suck?
as the title states... is it just me or does the recent batch of Gaurder clears suck balls?
past couple years I've installed and used a couple dozen of them with no issues. but the last 5 or 6 I've bought and installed... nothing but Jams ... litterally it's like they are half a milimeter too big and the feed lips deform just a hair . being so soft they grab the bb's and jam right up. not really that big an issue in the long run as they are so cheap and there are better out there... just cost me 2 pistons in my saw while I was trying to figure it out LOL ...

I confirm. They really suck.
I bought one, and it always jammed. Tried oiling it, (it would work) but be innaccurate. Then I'd clean it, and it would jam again. And then it tore apart. Second one, same issues but tore within 20 bbs.

Only issues I've had with them is that, as of late, they tear everytime I remove the inner barrel/rubber from the units... REALLY sucks if I didn't get it in there just right the first try as it's pretty much a guarantee to tear the rubber coming out.

What inner barrels are you using it with? Madbull inners have(had at least) a slightly smaller outer diameter but enough so that the rubber had room to move a little as each BB passed through.

All the Guarder clears tear if you have to remove them lately. I pretty much expect it as a forgone conclusion that I will have to change the rubber if I need to open my gun up.
I stopped using them and now only use ARS.

my shrike/SAW M4 I switched 3 different hop units thinking the jam was the hop not liking the box mag... etc.. changed barrels... was very careful to keep the clear in good shape... finally I threw in a cheapo clone black one my assumption was backed up when I put together my carbine upper.. with a prometheus 6.03 .. in a modify accuracy hop unit... hop completely off (no nub in barrel at all) .. and all it did was jam ... so I guess guarder has finally caught the quality of the clear up to it's price point now

Hmmm...
That would explain why I have some issues with my ICS M4 since I upgraded it... I just looked into the barrel (chamber side) and the hop-up nub seems to be ripped/cut... kinda hard to describe.... it looks like a knife caught the nub so a little edge is detached from it, but not completely... If that is so... Guarder clears would drop down with the rest of their parts at the bottom of quality scale... |

I confirm I was using the Guarder Clears with a Madbull barrel, and a Madbull, Element and G&P Hop-up units.
EDIT : Oh and a King Arms hop-up unit.

With the madbull inner barrels, I've gone back to using the madbull red and blue rubbers and scs nubs.

since it was the first one I've ever installed, it may be an issue with install, but how hard can it be? Line up the tabs and put it in... but my p90 was jamming and and double feeding with a guarder clear. I've got a couple different ones on order coming to try as well another clear. A tiny chunk of the lip tore at some point of jamming or maybe removal to troubleshoot the jamming/feeding issues. Consistent accuracy could not be established due to the feeding issues, but then again according to this thread, it could've been the rubber all along.
