9.9V 15c lifepo? Equivalent to what nimh?

Wanted to know if this battery will be too strong or too weak for my stock kingarms m4a1?

Too strong, would be equivalent to a 10.8v mini, or about 9.6v large battery
You can get a 7.4v 20C 1600mah LiPo from hobbyking for $9 each, they're brand name, and just a tad slower than a 9.6v mini.
Due to the increased amperage the LiPo provides, you could easily match the RoF of a 9.6v mini by using a higher speed ratio of gears.
And it will fit in a king arms AN/PEQ-15 with enough room to put a triggermaster SW-COMP in there as well.

Also, please read this informative thread on LiPo's if you haven't already

I read enough about lipo's on this forum and the net. on the manual of KA m4a1 gun its says to use a 9.6V 2000mah nimh. currently using it and its great. reason i need a smaller square battery is because i bought a DD Omega 7 ris and now i need a peq for my battery. there's just not a whole lot of info on lifepo4 in airsoft. i would use a 7.4v lipo but if the 9.9v 1000mah 15c lifepo4 is ok, i would use that instead. i know 11.1v lipo is too strong for my stock gun. does anyone has more info or has been using lifepo?

Go to a RC hobby shop and ask. Those guys generally know a lot more about batteries than most airsofters will.

Also generally LiFePO4 is supposed to be "easier" on internals than LiPo and relatively "safer" but if you abuse them they'll still explode in your face in a miraculous fashion.

It's an interesting chemistry and I honestly would like to try it in my gun but I think I'd rather see how a 6.6V LFP does before going to 9.9V LFP. Although I think there are some people here that actually do use 9.9V LFP's in their guns, I don't remember who but I do remember them posting about it when I was asking around a while back.

Also I'm a bit different in that I actually want to try using TRX, EC3, or XT-60 connectors on my guns over the standard deans (yeah, if you do it right the solder joint between the deans and wire generally won't shear off but TRX and XT-60 have some interesting properties that I want to try and experiment with).

Yeah. I use the 9.9V Intellect LiFe 20C 1100mah and 1200mah batteries in my AEG's.

TM stockish AK
upgraded TM/CA Mp5 with ASCU
upgraded CA/G&P M4 with ASCU.

No complaints as of yet. My only real concern is that the switch assembly contacts in the AK will eventually start to give way, but it's an easy/quick fix.

Personally opinion is that it's a near equivalent to a 9.6v large. The one thing that I would strongly recommend is to change the connectors. Deans, TRX, EC3, or XT-60 connectors don't matter but are all better than tamiya

Been thinking about trying XT-60 as well. Easier to solder and easier to connect in a hurry. Also, easier to find guaranteed super-duper-genuinely-genuine XT-60 connectors for cheap, whereas with Deans it's like a galaxy of confusion.

To the OP:

Seriously take the above advice and buy some 7.4V LiPos from hobbyking.com instead. They will for sure have ones that will fit in a PEQ. Get your PEQ first and figure out the max dimensions you can put in there.. A LiPo will be far lighter than the alternatives and pack a way nicer punch. Battery PEQs already add so much weight, it's better to go with the battery technology that offers the most bang per weight. You won't be disappointed.

(BTW: when you're on a hobbyking battery product page, wait a few minutes and a popup will come up giving you a discount on that battery. I typically browse the site opening tabs for the batteries I might be interested in (typically narrowing down on specs and dimensions), and the discounts come up in each tab as I browse around.)

A 9.9v is pretty well a perfect voltage for an upgraded AEG, but I'm against having high RoF on stock guns.
6.6v is going to be way too slow, although the chemistry of the cells is different, you won't get any higher performance than you would on LiPo. Both batteries already provide 100% of the amperage required by the motor, so the regulating factor is voltage.
Honestly I'd rather run a 9.9v over a 7.4v or 11.1v, but like I said, I wouldn't run anything faster than a 9.6v nimh on a stock AEG. Personal opinion

I really don't mind using 7.4V lipo, I just wanted to get more info on lifepo since I saw one that can fit inside a peq15 at a good price.

I'm looking to purchase this very battery this week for one of my upgraded M4s. I'll post up after I get it and field it how it effects performance.

heres the battery I was using
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=9166

fits in a PEQ-15 with enough room left to put a triggermaster in
Got 900rpm out of it with double torque gears, you'd get significantly more rpm if you using high speed or standard ratio gears. The LiPo has the amperage to move those gears and run a higher torque motor too.

I've been using one of the 9.9vs from airsoftparts all year and its been great. RoF is solid, but not absurd like high voltage lipo set ups. My motor is also not great by any means, so that's undoubtedly a factor for me as well though.

I am highly considering in getting this battery for my PEQ15 box.
http://airsoft-club.com/shop/batteri...for-peq-15-box
It's only $20 and $7 shipping, my only concern is the 1000mah and 15C rating. It should be as powerful as a 7.4V Lipo or 9.6V NiMH which I am currently using but not as strong as a 11.1V Lipo.

It should not cause any harm to my stock KA M4A1. Please stop me if you think otherwise.

Thanks!

Should be as powerful as a 10.8v nimh, but I'm not 100%
The battery can supply 15A continuous, which is more than enough for any stock AEG.

Yup. A 9.9v 1000mah 15c will be just fine.

How do you shoot? You might want to get a second one if you like full auto.
