Optics for VFC M4 SOPMOD

My VFC M4 SOPMOD is here and I need some advice on optics.

I would like something functional and low profile...

Should I be looking in to Magnifier scopes or red dot systems?

Any feedback is much appreciated

Is the battery life decent on that clone Docter sight?

i had one before and had no problem with it, just gotta remmember to put the cover back on when you are done, came with an iron rear sight you can put on instead of the doctor, takes just a couple min to change out, so no big deal if your battery dies
