Condor already has boots in their line up. These look about the same, just in Multicam. I know some players around here have worn Condor boots, but I can't recall anyone saying anything about them, one way or the other.

Hmmm... hope it is better then the jungle boots, piece of crap they are (sorry Jeff X3) I had a pair of the jungle and it broke in 2 month, outer sole was crap rubber, so they have gone to heaven or hell? Eyelet was nearly pulled out of the sockets and chewed up the para cord laces and last the leather is not leather so it cracked. Military grade my butt... So I went and bought a pair of ALTAMA desert for 26 bucks, minus shipping.

Yea don't cheap out on boots..
Also, the zippers blow on some boots(happened to a few guys after doing XX amount of patrols with them) made by more well known/used companies like Converse... from what I've heard of boots made overseas in Asia I don't forsee the Condor boots being very good or that zipper not falling apart. |

Yes, and buy only from companies with a good reputation.
I've never had any problems with any of my boots made by the following companies - Original SWAT, Rocky and Belleville Other good companies are Danner, Matterhorn, Bates plus the USGI stuff, etc |

I think he's saying buy quality boots. Maybe try (if you're cheap) buy Wal-mart *waits for outraged screams* boots, I use Workload Sams and they work, but there not super soldiering boots
edit: He beat me to the punch.

Stay away from Converse. Far Away. The Calgary Health Region purchased 230 pairs of Converse tactical boots for their Protection Services departments, and they all fell apart. Less then 30 are still being worn. They switched to Original SWAT.
Personaly, my two favorite boots are Danner and Magnum. My Danner's are the comfiest boots ive owned. My old Magnums lasted at least 3 years of everyday use. Ive tried on Bates boots, but they werent the proper size so i cant comment on the comfort, but they look and feel to be of excellent quality. If you want an excellent boot that breathes quite well in the summer look into Hiax boots. Their made in Germany. A friend of mine is a Peace Officer and their issued the Hiax P3. He says their the most breathable boots hes ever owned and his feet stay dry and cool without sacrificing comfort. If you want Paratrooper style boots look into Corcoran. They have an excellent line up.

The new Condor boots won't be cheaply priced - here in the US they should be between $70 and $110 USD per pair, depending on style or pattern (black, tan, multicam.) I am basing that figure on the dealer cost. So based on that price and the success of their softshell jackets, maybe these boots won't be too bad?

A manufacturer/retailers can charge what ever they want for a product really, just because it's in the $70-110 range doesn't mean it's going to be a quality boot. Only thing you can use as a basis for judging Condor boots is reviews of their other boots. Also you can wait till these new ones have been on the market for a little while and read those reviews.
Yea from what I've seen and heard of the Converse boots they aren't very durable at all. I would also recommend staying away from them. Last edited by -Skeletor-; August 17th, 2011 at 11:05.. |

For boots give ridge tactical boots a look. I know of a few police force in the mtl area that have ditched OS and magnum boots for them. They go for about 150$ a pair.
My last pair lasted me 9 years of airsoft, ipsc and service rifle. I also have a pair of work boots ( steel cap) that has survived 4 years of machine shop use( usualy most other pairs die after 1 or 2)

I wore Rockys on my tour but mine blew out and I had to switch to the Issued boots. They blew out due to wear and tear and with me climbing all over a number of vehicles they got warn down over time. But still I would definitely recommend Rocky. I'm wearing magnums right now and my only complaint is the lack of speed laces lol
For my next boot im either trying Oakleys or SWATs

Not sure about other brand but my bf has been using the Merrell sawtooth for almost a year with at least 12 hours per day standing and walking around our restaurant, got dirty by oil and such even winter abuse without any treatment. It's still survive until now and it's one the favorite that he wear almost everyday unless something formal come up one or two time per year.
