Anyone order with brownells?
Hello everyone,
I am attempting to fix a KSC P226 wall hanger that I bought a long time ago. The part that is needed is a small spring that resets the hammer (Part 20). http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=0...icsdetail/P226 I have been unable to find any Canadian stores that have this part. While there are many stores in the US carries the part I need, brownells seems to be the most well known. So my question is; has anyone ordered from them? And how were the shipping charges? I guess I should also ask the obligatory "will this part make it into Canada" question as well. Thanks, UPDATE: Turns out that the hammer reset spring from an old p226 also works perfectly in this gun UPDATE: KWA now stocks the spring for this gun on their website. I suggust buying a lot of things at once to combine the shipping cost which is $14 http://store.kwausa.com/m226hammerstrutspring.aspx Last edited by jordan7831; January 10th, 2012 at 13:01.. |

So far, I have ordered a buffer tube, sling end plate, charging handle and flashlight mount in two separate orders from them with no problems. If it's just that small spring that you want, I'm sure it's fine.

Gun parts that are not export restricted by the department of state will make it thruw no problem as long as the total amount of your order is under 100$. If your total is over 100$ then you need to fill for an export permit for said lot of parts. Shipping is decent every time I've dealth with them and customer service is excellent.

what the hell? I send an order with them and they sent me a pdf saying
"SIR: DUE TO DDTC RESTRICTIONS REGARDING THE NON-REGISTRATION OF MANUFACTURERS, ITEM(S) HAVE BEEN CANCELED FROM YOUR ORDER. THANK YOU." How the hell can they not ship a little coiled bit of wire? Would anyone like to try to buy it on my behalf? I would be willing to give you some money for services rendered. |

The mannufacturer of the part does not have an export licence so they cant ship the part out of the country. Try to find a similar part but from a diferet manufacturer. For springa try a compagnie called wolff spring

They're not going to ship to anyone if they're citing the DDTC. Only other way would be for someone to walk to their store, buy it, and mail to you.
Contact KSC directly for the part. |

I just realized that the website you were looking at was referencing Real Steel parts. No wonder they cited the DDTC export restriction! If this is indeed the part your looking for, go visit your local Canadian gun shop and order the part. No guarantee the spring will work though - a RS spring will be significantly stiffer than its airsoft counterpart.

Ya i know, unfortunately the airsoft equivalent does not exist at all! My only hope to get this gun running again is to try a real steel part. Ghaa what a head ache!
With regards to the stiffness issue, I figure it should be fine to run it in the gun because all the spring does is reset the hammer. It has nothing involved with hitting the valve. EDIT: Holy crap MultipleParadox, thanks for the link, they actually list that parts, hope they have them in. RE-EDIT back to square 1, they dont have the part either P.S. Are there any ASC members that reside stateside that would like to help out a guy in need? I can compensate you fairly for your efforts. Last edited by jordan7831; July 26th, 2011 at 01:29.. |

How hard was that. They should be able to export. I've ordered from them many times for m14,1911 and ar15 springs
