KJW M700 Help

Im just starting to upgrade my KJW M700 Police Model, and right now I am doing the following:

-Ordering tightbore barrel
-Ordering suppressor adapter
-Ordering suppressor

But I have a few questions. Ive read A LOT of posts on forums and other review sites saying that it can accept AEG barrels with no modification, is this true? If so, I will be ordering a 6.03 650mm TBB, but about how far will it extend out of the outer barrel (police model)? I am ordering the suppressor so it wont matter, but ive read so many different things I just want to know for sure. Thanks

I recall it has a 629mm inner barrel, so you'd have an extra 31mm sticking out.

Excellent! Thank you. Do you know if can accept AEG barrels or not? I've heard some people say it can, and others say it takes vsr-10 barrels.

Why not go for the EdGi specific inner barrel? My brother has a fully tuned KJW M700 and it's working wonders with that one. A few more mms on the inner are not really going to make a difference, specially since we're already at 600+.

Definitely not AEG barrels, *MAYBE* VSR-10, can't remember or confirm.

Why did you order a tightbore anyways? Just for the added length? It already has a 6.05mm in it, and is wicked accurate as long as you dry swap the bore every two mags. Tightbore won't add much to it........ except higher fps due to increased length.

Ah, thank you both. I didn't order it, but I wanted to because I heard from everyone I talked to and every review i watched that it was a 6.10.

Unless they changed it in the past few years, the earlier ones (I got mine in 2005), it's a 6.05mm. Still, dry swabbing is crucial every 20 shots, you'll see the accuracy and consistancy go to shit after two mags. I used to shoot mine a lot in my basement (30ft) and could get BBs into a dime sized hole for a couple mags, then it started to spread out. I ran a dry swab through and the dime sixed groups returned. Heck, when my daughter was 7 years old, she liked to shoot bottle caps at that range with my 700. So, nutshell, it's a semi tightbore unless KJW changed barrel manufacturers.
