CF Improved Combat uniform CADPAT

Soldier Systems just posted an article on the new uniform pattern to be issued to the CF starting in 2012.

Your thoughts folks?

Oh and I searched before posting so hopefully this is not a repost. Images were collected from soldiersystems.net

Cool!

Is it me or are a lot these features are currently on the US ACU? My main set is a pair of MC Propper ACU's and they have very similar features.

Yea, it basically is a Canadianized version of ACU

I got the powerpoint presentation on it emailed to me, theres quite a few changes to the new uniform. Actually designed for the field, and not garrison, can't wait till it starts getting issued.

If I remember right, I think it goes into production June/July 2012

"The CF Operational Clothing Team made it very clear that the uniform would remain in CADPAT and would NOT be MultiCam."

never understood the love affair with multicam.......
why change our camo pattern when others have copied it.........IMO
the improvements to the cuts and features of the new uniform seem to be a function of field requirements vs garrison requirements. Makes sense and looks good

It's less about love than "use what works". I have six different BDU's.

digital camo is optimized for 300 m engagements........not within range for airsoft......so I can see how you might think analogue patterns would be better....

Its not MC but close and the CF could adapt the new Uniform and the cadpat pattern into the MC colours . But that would depend on what/where the next mission is. But as a starting point it should be made in TW cadpat of course.

Brit MT is pure sex... alas none available anywhere.. not for any price

Most strategic thinkers have a pretty good idea what colour Western army uniforms are going to need to be for the foreseeable future..

I'm happy to hear, but I dread the wait that reservists like myself will have to wait to get one, never mind all three shirts replaced.
