Tm M14 vs We M14

I'm sorry if this has been posted before, I searched and couldn't find anything.

I've been out of the game for quiet awhile and was looking to get back into it with either a TM M14 or a WE M14.

I'm much more familiar with AEG's and I understand that the TM m14 is a very reliable product. However the realistic nature of the WE m14 is a real draw.

So my main concern is, which is an all around more reliable gun? and which one is easier to upgrade?

I was hoping to have an all metal/real wood build, with it firing around 400 FPS.

AEG, no doubt about it, if you want accuracy/consistancy out of the box. There is no way around a TM.

I'm an owner of a WE M14 myself and its been a bit of a fustrating journy with it. Loading nozzle rails snapping, which ended up helping chew the rubber on the top of my magazine. Mine came with a warped inner barrel and so on and so on.

Anyway, past fustrations, and a large budget ,the WE m14 can be one hell of a gun. Just don't expect too much pulling it out of the box.

Yeah, got my WE M14 today. Accuracy and consistency out of the box is pretty good. It's going to take at least $100 worth of upgrades to get it up to snuff, though.

It's fun as tits to shoot though

I played around with an m14 recently, and it has to be the most complicated gun I have ever dealt with. Getting to the gearbox is hell, and I still haven't built up the will to put it back together...

if you want something with a consistent FPS you should get the TM, but its hard to compare since one is AEG one is GBBR,both have their pros and cons, aeg's are more consistent and reliable with more upgradable parts, since its a TM, the only thing the WE has is the blowback function that creates the realistic feel to it, id suggest you stick with the TM m14, and just get a mosfet system so you can have insane trigger response

TM M14 is the BEST Airsoft M14 currently on the market. Lots of aftermarket support as well. Only grip is IMHO is the stock.

The gearbox is a pain to get to and to take apart, but that aside, it's great and performs amazingly well.

Just be prepared for a long, (front) heavy gun.

With regards to the WE m14.

You say it needs upgrades, once those upgrades are installed, is the gun a decent?

I want the gun to be what it is, a counter sniper roll. So i was thinking of putting it around 400-425fps, but using .3g BB's. Now which of the two platforms would better achieve this?

Cost is not really a factor, as I'm willing to upgrade either to the tits, i just want the more solid platform.

TM will be more consistent, as if you start a game with a WE M14 in the morning with a 13-15 degrees, and it reaches about 25-28 in the afternoon, you'll have to adjust your hop-up and gameplay as it heats up because the propane will deliver more power during the day.

Or you can pay someone a ton of money to make a m14 that runs on hpa
