Field strip!
Hey guys, just a quick question for ya... I just recently purchased an Aftermath CQB Knight aeg from cabelas, and I was trying to find out how to take it apart. It looks to just have a simple one pin pop out, but Im afraid if I do it, parts will pop out and I will never beable to use it again. Any help would be great, thanks

its as simple as taking out the two body pins and any roll pins, then sliding the upper off to reveal inside. nothing will pop out unless you disassemble your mechbox. but ye i highly recomend you dont to preserve your warranty.

But what if say I wanted to upgrade it (which the gun is supposivly compatible with), and Ive seen other guns like it and what Im guessing is you just pop the one pin out and then the gun folds forward. Thanks though for the suggestions, I'm probly not gunna take it apart untill something goes wrong

its always reccomended as well to game your guns before you upgrade them to see if they need it. also the folding open wont happen on an aeg the mechbox holds it down it must be slidden off

youtube it, and follow the instruction. If the youtube vid looks too scary then dont do it. AEG isn't really something you would field strip, maybe a gbbr you would.

I am going on a year with my G&G M4, the only upgrade I did was a longer barrel. I am using the Stiff Dick approach for everything else...if it works, don't mess with it!

the knight cqb does not slide apart as mentioned. it is a fold open style. there is a rear pin that MUST be removed and I prefer to remove the front as well then the upper and lower can be split be carefully yanking the rear out of the upper( be careful as the rear pin is inserted thru two tabs that are part of the upper DO NOT BREAK THEM).
If you need a more indepth break down PM me and I will see what I can do. Cheers, Jesse |
