Selector Fire Issue
I was doing some target practice the other night with my Aftermath Broxa MP5 and I ran into an issue where even though my gun was on Semi (I rarely use Full auto) I was firing as though it were on Full.
I switched it to safe and then waited a few seconds and moved it back to Semi and no issue. I switched it to Full and it fired fine. Now It hasn't done it since but since I always use Semi I was wondering if someone knows what the issue could be so I can prevent it. I don't want to be playing a game one day and then my gun does that crap again. Thanks in advance. |

pull the trigger completely to the rear and don't slow pull. Slow pull is for RS and doesn't work for airsoft.

I do pull it all the way and I don't pull slow. I actually just tried for shits and giggles pulling slowly and such and it didn't do anything.
Thank you though it was worth trying and I appreciate all the help I can get. Any other thoughts on the issue? |

the contacts in the switch assembly are too close together and when you pull the trigger, the contacts makes a connection a bit longer causing a burst fire or full auto. You can fix this by opening up the gearbox and spreading the contacts farther apart.

I've heard of MP5's doing this, it was either due to the selector plate moving into full auto position, or the cut-off lever that broke. but if Semi still works fine, it might just be that it went to full auto, thus disengaging the cut-off lever, which purpose is to disengage the trigger contact.
