Lipo balancing plug is fried. Can it be replaced?
So the balancing plug cracked in half. The white plastic snapped.
It still worked but when I went to put it back together some wires touched, sparked, caused a small orange flash and melted the wire casing a bit. The battery still works but I can't charge it so when it's done, it's done for good. Can it be fixed and if so, who in the 416/905 fixes them? Or alternately, I'm looking for someone with an 11.1 lipo that fits the smallest KA peq. I know this is partially a wanted ad but I'm not sure if a fix is even possible so I started there and killed two birds with one post. Sorry.

I think you can fix the plugs...as in pull the plugs/pins out and put them into another plastic bit. Best to stop in at a hobby shop (hobby hobby is out your way I think)...just show 'em the bits and ask at the counter.
You'll find all types of LiPo's there too. |

The connector is also probably available at: digikey.com
Huge catalog that I admit is difficult to plow through, but they pretty much do have EVERYTHING electrical. If you're downtown, look up Supremetronic around College and Spadina. Smaller inventory than Digikey, but they may have that connector. I suspect that your pack uses a fairly common connector standard.

another place that might have it is Sayal in Mississauga. I'm gonna go check to see if they have it and if they do, I'm gonna grab a bunch and pins.

Thanks guys. I went to Action Hobby in brampton. He had a beaten up old plug but it works. Good thing because I can't find another battery to fit my peq.

The plug is called a JST balance plug.
You can order it only at most places, but hobbyking is a good place to look. |
