Polar Star HPA Drop in V2 Kit
So I did a search for this and I was surprised that nothing had been posted yet.
I found this a few days ago and instantly fell in love. I WANT ONE. Even though this is an HPA/CO2 run kit, it will still need your a battery to run the electronics on it. From what I have read, they spec it to work around 7-9 volts. So you can run a small Ni-meh/Ni-Cad battery, or a LiPo no problems, and it will probably last many many many many games. I think this would be PERFECT for anything from CQB rifles to MGs. I know running tanks and lines is not everyone's cup of tea, its not mine either, but I think I would try it out for this product. While looking for pics to post I found an article about it on arnies > http://arniesairsoft.co.uk/news2/21616 They have some impressive videos on their youtube channel > http://www.youtube.com/user/PolarStarAirsoft December 2010 Pre-orders were mentioned, but I'm not sure its going to happen, either way its coming soon, and I plan on getting one. (hopefully it wont cost 1/2 my pay check :s) I know I got Amos interested too

I'd love it if they ran the micro line through the stock so that you could run a small tank in the full stock. Or, put a QD fitting on the side of the stock so that you can run your air rig line and sling from the same point.

You could run the line wherever you want to i suppose, just have to get the original line out of the box to feed into the stock : /

This product seems pointless for anything but MGs.
No blowback -- wouldn't a GBBR be a much better investment? You're not gonna try and convince me the nice trigger response is worth the price of the 'box plus the hassle of a line and tank plus the cost of CO2 or HPA, are you? Just throw a lipo in your AEG. This mechbox doesn't even sound aggressive! EDIT: although it might be good for winter!

This is not new actually ... this is just a new and improved design .. some of you have probably dealt with the guy before ... he went dark a few months ago my guess he wanted to keep everything secret :P
There's only one potential problem, don't know if they looked into it but this is essentially a crank the pressure up as high as you want mechbox ..so it can be potentially hazardous. However I think it's taken TOO long for them to start selling this with the GBBR market booming and the fact that majority of airsofters do not have an interest in Classic Airsoft. |

Apparently it will cost ~$400 according people who met Ben at Irene. Also, it appears that it's been delayed a bit.

The external air isn't really what bothers me about paintball, it's the nonsensical rainbow anodized laser guns. Though I don't agree with having the external line, it is an interesting option for people. Interestingly enough though - the people I've seen using these in the "Action" videos all hipfire and seem like they're playing speedball. Maybe that is what external air does to you, further scientific testing is needed.

I've been practically dying waiting for this to come out. I personally don't mind a tank at all. the weight difference it makes in my rig is nothing, and would allow for adjustable fps at the turn of a nob on the regulator on your tank.
No longer will you be restricted from using a gun on a certain field just because of fps rules. Also if you zip tie or something the line along your sling you'll never even know its there

you can swap out the air nozzle to change the fps of the gun. they make them in ranges to 50fps starting at 350 and going to about 600 fps as well as you are able to regulate pressure to adjust fps slightly. supposedly thees things are indestructible also i will be picking one up in the next couple of months,

I watched the videos very intrigued... but then I saw the airline and external tank... then saw what someone said these things will sell for... seems like alot of hassle compared to just getting a gbb
if you want adjustable fps just get a quick change spring gearbox...
