6.01mm Barrel-Any good?
Does anyone have one of these?
Was looking for one for the we scar gas blow back(GBB). But wasent sure what one would fit. Did anyone find one for the scar? And are the aeg barrels compatible with a gas blow back rifle? |

I believe you need a 363mm tightbore barrel for that, and JBU makes a decent barrel for that; and I personally wouldn't go for a 6.01mm barrel, 6.03 gets the job done and doesnt jam as easily

with proper maintenance and good quality bbs, you should never have a barrel jam with a 6.01. I'm using a 6.01 and never had a bb jam and I'm hitting tooth picks at 10m with iron sights.

Im just sayin...I maintained my sniper very well with a 6.01 barrel, but if you don't, then it's prone to jamming

No, AEG and GBB barrels are not compatible.

Didnt think so.
Do you know where i could find a medium to long gbb barrel? |

See this is what I don't get. People get TBs and whatnot for their guns. I do the same. Accuracy does improve, but not nearly enough. I have a PDI 6.01 on my GBB glock, for example. I clean the barrel regularly, and use good quality .30s. At 30 feet, I am probably only getting hits on a coke can 6 times out of 10, let alone toothpicks.
Unless you are talking about AEGs or pimped out spring snipers... |

Try putting the gun in a vice and shooting it that way. |

Might be your shooting or if your gun is a cheap china-made gun, all the loose parts screw-up consistency and you can't hit twice the same spot. |

I believe you have to age verified before we can tell you anywhere to buy the barrels. Some of of the ASC retailers sell GBB barrels, but you have to be AVd to buy from them

Btw, a Vice is this : http://www.bottdirect.fr/images/cate...at_128_img.jpg
It's used when you want to test your accuracy while removing the "shooter" as a factor. Just like in photography when you use a tripod, so you don't "move". If your gun is tight in a vice, you'll have an accurate representation of the accuracy of your gun since it's not moving at all with everyshot. However, I've always read 6.03/6.04 were actually better due to the ration of air surrounding the BB. I could be wrong. |

Yup, 6.05 is for accuracy, 6.01 is for power
6.03 is a nice middle ground |

6.01 bores have 2 problems:
1: Main problem is by getting it so tight, the hop up unit will not be as effective as it was and then affect distance reaching 2: Having good bbs is not an option. BUT, even if you choose the better bbs in the world it don't mean it will suit your bore. Pay attention to diameter of the bbs and the variation of it. Note: I would not recommend having a bb bigger than 5.95mm +-.01. Smaller than that you'll lose what your bore was supposed to do for you and what you've paid for. Bigger, you might have frequent jams. BTW, i would not recommend 6.01 for automatic rifles. 6.03 will give you outstanding performance, maximum hop up effect and good accuracy without the risk of jamming.
