Airsoft C7A2 Custom gun
Hey folks, I joined your forums to see if I could get help making a C7A2, I am from and play in Scotland and finding the bits I need is proving a lil difficult. I want the C7A2 I build to be as authentic as possible.
The bits I am having trouble locating mainly is the Canadian body, and triad rails. If anyone could help me locate these from some place that ships to the UK would be a massive help thanks. |

The body isn't as important at the moment though as I don't mind it having an standard M4 or M16 body to begin with.

Get a C7A1 body and change the trades. The older issue received where done that way, by converting old C7A1 into A2s
It will be easier to find than a C7A2 body directly. Other than that, you just have to search the web for differences between the C7A2 and M16A4 (There is tons of comparative websites about that). Since your base gun is probably an M16, you will know what parts need to be changed. |

wiki has a fair bit of info for all the variants (but not many pictures) the only major diff (visually) with the M4/M16 are the mags (not evident in the pic above) the scope we use. ( I think the Americans use it too but in a much more limited capacity) I haven't seen it for less than $130 CDN icsbb has sells a "C15" if you have a distributor http://www.icsbb.com/web_e/html/02_p...ind3=24&num=40 http://www.icsbb.com/web_e/html/02_p...ind3=23&num=52 I have an ICS 41 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...7&id=687266891 "Canadian" style mag is in the scope riser cost me $25 or so (bought if for paint ball a couple years ago) I paid $30 for the front handle (Tippmann X7 part) from badlands paint ball :smack: (paid an extra $10 rather than drive all over Toronto) Red Dot I traded a buddy for an X7 "M16" foresight (his suggestion ) front handle is mounted on a "real metal" weaver fitting (got a small box of them from a friend) its attached to a small piece of metal inside the hand guard (fits flush in the groove @ the bottom and does not interfere with the battery, did have to "tap" the metal myself though cheers to some common thread sizes between airsoft and paintball gear) |

C7A2 would be the second from the top in this picture. (Crunchmeisters guns btw)
To make it he started off with a CA full size M16. -Replaced the stock witha sliding crane stock (real C&s are issued with the standard M4 type stock but he went crane to fit a battery) -Replaced receiver with Guarder C7A2 metal receiver -added the tri rail under the gas block -Bought an Elcan sight (he has the US Marine version which is battery powered but meh) -CF issue buis (in front of elcan) -and some thermold mags to complete the look though i rarely see him use them in games as they are crapy -to be 100% (minus the stock) accurate he'd need to paint the furniture that awful snot green colour but it's good as is. Also, added bonus, the C8A2 is the 3rd down, canada's M4. and the Mercury Sable looks "NOTHING" like the Ford Taurus but more like a Lada :-? If you have time to track every subtle nuance, variant and designation of the AR-15/M-16/M4/C7/C7 & SR-25 [7.72] platform maybe you could impart the knowledge to our Scottish friend above rather than engaging in the childish and irrelevant flames or find us some pictures for all the variants here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colt_Canada_C7_rifle excuse me while I go polish my wdf was it again? Ak47 no...Uzi that was it |

But if you look on the Colt Canada site, you still see them picturing their weapons with the thermold mags. Personally, I like the look of the thermold mags, and that's the reason I got them - for display purposes. I think it gives the rifle a more unique look compared to standard AR mags. However, like their real steel (what a misnomer!!!) counterparts, airsoft thermold mags - at least the G&P ones I have - are utter garbage.
