Night time scrims. The good, the bad, and the awesomeness.

Basically, write your opinion with one good thing about night scrims, one bad thing, and an awesome moment you may have had. I'll start off.

Good: Limited view distance, making it more difficult and nerve wracking.

Bad You tend to run into crap like tree branches...

Awesomeness: I hid in a corner of a trailer and a wall waiting for the enemy to slowly walk by. Once he did, I quietly crept up behind him and silent killed him. He neerly shat himself. Good thing too cause I was on my last clip which was almost out =P

Good; I have night vision
Bad; sucks switching between naked eye and NVD
awesomeness; lowshots game, they had 4 tiki torches up they had to defend. I hid in the bush behind their positions slowly crawling up. Their mortar team withdrew past me and walked within 10 feet of me. Ran up and blew out the first one. Dashed to the next one and blew it out. Nobody saw me yet. Now I'm hiding on the other side of a patch of woods maybe 15 feet deep from a whole platoon. The last torch in the row is already out. Right as they get formed up to leave I run up and blow out the last one. Token stealth mission victory.

Unless you're running a special rare gun, then this applies to you

Night games are massive fun though, especially when played with the right people!

Blegh I can call it an ammo stick for all I want =D but to get technical, I apologize for calling it a clip. I for whatever reason get the two mixed up. Probably since it's called a clip for a daisy air rifle (cadets)

Bad: not being able to confirm your hits. People not calling solid hits.

Good: running a tracer mix

Awesome: switching out to a mag full of tracers and dumping it on someone not calling their hits. Hits confirmed!

That was great Frank!

1, 2, 3, 4, "I Win!"

and I had spent all evening coordinating patrols to protect them!

Hellz yea!

Good: being able to be sneaky, getting close to your target without his/her knowledge and taking that perfect shot

Bad: Taking forever to realize you and your partner are the last ppl on the field and no one calls game end. lol

Awesome: 120rd midcaps full of trace 1:1 ratio. nuff said =)

Bad: Can't ever see shit.....goggles LOVE fogging on me.
Also have to be extremely careful with footing.. I WRECKED my angle falling down the stairs at a CQB game
Good: Chance to be really stealthy, really immersive firefights (feels like your in one of those night-ops fights in A-stan)

Good: Evens the playing field for skill and experience levels.
- I have a night vision scope and able to mount it on my sniper rifle or MP5
- Less ammo used
- Hearing people wonder aloud how you hit them after dark using a sniper rifle, even without the NV scope mounted.

Bad: Friendly fire, especially when defending a base and having roving patrols around it
- Can't track your rounds using the NVG, harder to adjust your shots.
