Questions about these ARMY brand gas pistols.
My question is how much exactly "Marui" spec are these things? I've heard that the rails between the slides and frames going from one to the other might work one way but not the other but I guess I'm more concerned with the internals.
I'm a hardcore KWA fan and dealer. I generally recommend those because they feel rock solid, they have a 45 day warranty and even if they are out of warranty, KWA will fix them or replace them cheap. Lately though, some of my customers keep asking for these ARMY gas pistols. They just want a cheap sub-$100 dollar pistol so they can complete their load out or as a just in case gun, just in case there AEG dies or runs out of BBs in a game and they need that one extra quick shot to score a point so to speak. I actually just picked up one of those ARMY Kimber Warriors in black, used, from a local guy I know. I wanted to check them out first hand. The pistol came with 5 magazines total but I'm not sure what all brands they are because I have 1 of one type and 4 that look slightly different then the one. Either way they ALL seem to work fine. I do know the pistol has been upgraded though. The piston lid was replaced with something that looks like a red AEG piston head. The chamber was replaced and yes I know they come with two of them already, I got a total of 3 chambers. The springs inside the gun were upgraded. The barrel was replaced with a Tanio-koba inner barrel and the hopup was replaced with something by Nineball. Also, new in the package there is a PDI steel CNC sear that was never installed. The thing is loose as hell but it does seem to shoot good. It shoots 360FPS and is as straight as an arrow. I'm sure the accuracy is due to the barrel. I guess my question is, are ALL the internals TM spec and compatible? How are these pistols holding up and what are peoples thoughts on continuing this project, adding the sear, maybe a better disconnector and a CNC machined blowback chamber frame or whatever you call them. You know the part that the plastic chamber rides on. Normally I think most clones are worthless but this thing looks GOOD and I love the full trademarks too. Excuse me if I seem a bit gas pistol stupid, I'm a PTW and AEG tech. I normally just throw out broken gas pistols and buy a new one!
