G3 Hop Up Unit.
Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone knows where to get a metal G3 hop-up unit for a Classic Army gen 1 G3. I also noticed that TM SIG hopup units are very similar if not identical looking to the one in the CA G3. Does anyone know if the SIG hopup unit can be used in the CA G3? Thanks.

Is there really much of a difference between the plastic and metal hop-up units?
I've got a plastic CA unit with a Laylax aggressive style hop arm. |

Just wondering, but what's the difference of going with a Laylax arm as versus a stock TM one? Stock TM one hasn't broken on me as of yet...

It's got a MUCH more agressive cut which allows alot more hop-up to be applied

arrg...just noticed that the hopup arm on the one I'm looking at is busted right back where the cross pin goes through it.
So I made a copy of it out of lexan last night. Amos...when you say "It's got a MUCH more agressive cut which allows alot more hop-up to be applied"...more aggressive cut where and in what sense? Is it that the "cup" that holds the hopup rubber nub protrudes more such that it applies more hopup throughout the range of adjustment vs. the stock arm? |
