ICS compatible outer barrel
Hey guys, did alot of searching but didn't find anything definate.
I got the new generation full metal ICS, now this one has a 1 piece outer barrel which would be great if I wasn't trying to shorten it up. Does anyone know which outer barrels will work with the ICS hop up unit? I want to get a commando length barrel (10.5") to start modding it into a Mk18. I'm not beyond doing some modding if neccesary but a direct fit would be better. |

The Ics hop up will fit in all of em it might be a snug fit, if so do a little sanding and your green, I bought an all steel one from huang.

That is good news. Makes it alot easier to find something.. Thanks!
Oh, did it fit under the Delta ring no problem? I read a bit about people using different delta rings but then I'd have to rethread it.. |

I have a metal Ics body I wouldn't dare rethread it, Its too valuable, once again huang has delta rings that fit.

Valuable and rare, I still don't know how to get a hold of just the body. How do you remove the outer barrel?

Oh, I've got the Delta ring, just didn't want to have to rethread the upper and get TM delta just to fit the barrel.
mrlexmark- I'm assuming it's the same as any M4, unscrew the delta ring from the upper reciever and it should come right out. |

Graveyard -
Did anyone find any options? Its strange because the outer barrel on my ICS CQB separates from the part that hugs the hopup and is held together by two small grub screws. Im looking at replacing my front sight however, there is no typical groves at the front end that a regular triangle sight utilizes to stay in place. Im almost forced to make my own groves :/ |

Depending on how old your ics is there is a set screw on the bottom of your triangle site.

<-- was the retarded kid who didn't know this until after using a dremel to saw the sight off.
Problem being, that set screw is what separates the ICS barrel from your typical m4a1 barrel with the 2 groves for those pins. The sight I bought has those pins and im just going to attempt making my own groves in the outer barrel. I only asked for other options seeing as this could go horribly wrong.
