A little help..
Hey all, so I bought my friends JG BAR 10 off of him , it has the Airsoftgi P.E reinforced piston, Laylax PSS10 spring guide , P.E M170 spring , P.E reinforced Sear set and a Masamune 6.01mm Extreme Precision Inner barrel (430mm). Now with all those upgrade parts, with a .20g bb it shoots around 560fps, which is illegal in canada, how do I make it still preform the way it is now but drop the FPS so its legal?

You could get a weaker spring, a short stroke cylinder head, put a shitload of sorbo pads in the cylinder or get an fps dampener.
I suggest getting a weaker spring, try a 120sp or 130sp spring. |

It's not illegal.
Just over most (if not all) field limits. |

you did not read them or you read a part here and a part there. It clearly gives you a yes or no.
by the way what does it matter you can not import this gun anyways.

It's 500 FPS AND some muzzle velocity rating.
You could have one and not the other, ie. some air rifles may shoot 500 FPS but doesn't have the muzzle energy that makes it a firearm which a PAL would be required for. EDIT: Also get an M120 and bring it down to 400 FPS and you'll be legal for many outdoor fields. Also you won't be required to have MED's at that speed either (although a pretty standard MED for 400 FPS guns (including AEG's) is 15-20 ft where you should call mercy). Above 400 FPS you may be required to do a "sniper qual" to make sure you're safe with a high powered rifle that could seriously injure another player.

Oh my....
All you can do now is hope that the customs guy either... 1. Likes airsoft, and is inclined to put his job at risk and illegally let it through... or 2. Is incredibly stoned out of his mind. |
