Real Sword Type 56-1 -- 296 fps or 395 fps

On the Real Sword website is says that type 56-1 is 296 fps or "395 (optional)"

Does anyone know what it come stock as and if this is just a question of what spring you are using.

Thx

The original series of Type 56 shot at about 300 fps. Mine shoots between 300-310. Newer versions shoot in the range of 400. I'm not sure if they still manufacture both versions of the gun or not.

Yup, they are available in both fps and it is due to the spring.

My 56-1 had a stock muzzle velocity much higher than 400 fps when I purchased it.

RS 56-1's purchased from the "Official Canadian Distributor" are sold to Canadians with the ~300 fps spring installed (I was told this by the OWA Director).

RS 56-1's purchased from other Canadian retailers generally have the higher fps.

My 56-1 shot around 420-430 when I first got it. New spring has it shooting a consistant 380.

Same. I put a m120 in it and a spring guide and now it shoots about 415 - perfect for me.

This gun is awesome.

I think the review that involved running it over with a truck several times proved that it is indeed as good as everyone says it is.

Ya i saw a review on YouTube where they ran it over with a SUV, submerged it in water, sand and snow and still worked at the end.

I guess you get what you pay for.

when you buy the Type 56, in the manual it'll tell you what version of the gun you have. In the manual where they cover the guns specs there should be a sticker over the FPS that says 385FPS (North American) Anything bought before 2009 odds are you have the older Asian market of the gun with less FPS, and thing that was imported now, and as early as December 2009 is the north American marketed gun that sports a higher FPS. more often then not the gun actually shoots harder then 385FPS.

The QC statement that came with your Realsword should tell you at what FPS, it fires. The most recent realsword's aeg being imported to Canada fires close to 400 FPS (in some case closer to 450 FPS, realswords have pretty good compression)

So i got a Type 56-1 today. On the QC sheet it was shooting at 440ish fps; had the spring switched to a M100 for now, prob will put in an M120 soon though.

But the main point is, WOW, THIS GUN IS AMAZING!!
