Alternative to motor setting spacer?
Upon inspecting my gun and trying to piece it back together myself with the upgrades, I noticed my motor setting spacer was missing. How it disappeared I'll never know.
I have a game coming up on Saturday so ordering one wont be enough time for shipping. Is there any alternative to what I could use? Its for the 700 motor in a tm mp5sd6. Luck has not been on my side clearly. Last edited by Rabbit; August 24th, 2010 at 21:26.. |

Pull the motor and check it. It's a strong magnet and tends to attract metal things.
I use the Airsoft Innovations motor plate as it stays put. http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...roducts_id=716 |

have a look everywhere on and in the motor itself its highly magnetic i have numerous times found thats where mine sticks to as soon as i release pressure of the motor plate. If still no Avail use a washer of equal size.
Coachster beat me to it

It's about 1-1.5mm thick.
Any hard non-flexible material that is the same size (or just smaller) than the end bell part of the motor will do. Plastic, aluminum, tin, copper (bit soft), etc... Rummage through some toys...I bet the side of a Lego block would be about the right thickness...or close enough to get by. |

When you do find it. Glue it to the motor. Or if you want something less permanent then put some hard grease inside the pistol grip base to hold the motor plate up in there.

I've always grabbed a metal thumbtack, cut off the pin part of it, and glued it to the motor concave side down. Works like a charm!

you can also get motor plates that dont use them, rather they have a built in screw/plate that threads down. Systema, King arms, Magpul pts and G&P have em.
