what you must do if your FMG FPG Magpul for the Glock does not unfold.....
Hi guys,
Today was a good day since I received one of the 2 FPG FMG's left in the store from http://www.eliteshootingcentre.co.uk There is one fully assembled kit left, so hurry up (fpg + ksc glock + long mag) But things started bad, very bad. The unfolding mechanisme didn't work at all. When I unfold it for the very first time, the parts just dropped out, one by one. I was like WTF? I immediately mailed eliteshooting about this and he says everything is brand new blabla, but okay the "block" part is replaced with a metal version one. My guess is, by replacing that part by a metal one, the rod did not stick into place, whereas the block did stick into place with the original plastic block, I assume.... But thats just me...I think other owners of this FPG can give me some more info about this???? Fortunately for me I managed to solve this problem by cutting a innerbarrel of a bulletpen and use it to push the rod into the metal block. Because the problem was that the rod always went out with every move of the unfolding mechanism, causing the spring to jump out and everything would came lose. But that piece of bulletpen must have an exact length! If its too short -> there is too much space for the rod to move, thus it will move out of the block again in time with every unfolding and we have the same problem. If its too long and the fit is tight -> than there is no space at all and you cannot move the mechanisme so you cant open or unfold anything So the trick is to cut out good piece of bulletbalpen and stick it at the end of the rod so that you can move it just about enough to make it all happen These are some pics to help you out IF some future owners would have the same problem as I: And yes I know, the are major spellingmistakes and repeat of words on those pictures (I am Belgian, but thats no excuse for us Belgians ), and I am just too lazy to change it again But I think the pics speak for themselve! And other than that, this FPG Magpul kit is a blast to look at, to handle, and to shoot Ehobbyasia should get theirs back in stock soon and they also said that TM would make their version of a FPG to fit their Glock, so you will have choice between 2 kinds of FPG soon enough. Thx |
