ICS M4 Stubby Problem
Hey Guys,
I recently purchased an M4 Stubby (used but almost new) After gaming with it at my friends cottage for a few hours, it stopped working. At first i thought the gun was jammed so i cleaned out the barrel, a BB did come out, i reconnected the battery and the gun still did not fire. I switched to a fully charged battery and nothing happened. For some reason, the handle got really warm and the battery and wires coming from the gun heated very fast when i tested to see if the rifle would fire. I waited a few hours til everything cooled down, connected another fully charged battery and the gun was operational again. This happened three times to me during the weekend. I am using an Enrichpower 1500 mAh battery. I am wondering if anyone has any ideas on why this happens, how to prevent it, and anything i can do to fix the problem. Also, the ICS M4 Stubby comes with a button that releases spring tension. When i got it, it used to make a noise to show it released spring tension, now it doesn't make that noise, is this feature still working? **I am new to higher end airsoft guns (used to use double eagle Ak-47 and TF7 ) so you might need to be very specifc. Thanks a lot! |

check the wires in the pistol grip, make sure they're both connected.
Sounds like you have a short somewhere. if you can, check and make sure none of you wires are touching each other.

I just read up on something that said "When in semi-auto, we have all encountered the dreaded “semi lockup” problem. This happens when the firing cycle and gears are JUST in the wrong place after a shot, and the trigger is disabled — locked out. "
Think this may be the problem? |

The only time you are supposed to use that spring release button is before you open up the gearbox. To release the tension on the spring, just take a few shots (mag out) in semi-auto prior to storage. When the spring release button is pushed after playing it releases a lot of energy onto your gears(or so I've been told).
When you open the gearbox, still take a few shots in semi, then press the spring release button. I know, its cool to hear the noise but it is hard on your gears.

So i should open the gun up and take a look?
Okay here is the next problem, i am not completely sure how to open the gun, i know at the front there is a bolt (my friend showed me on his G & G M4) but on mine i think there are two. I just want to make sure i don't break the gun so do i remove both bolts |
