Good starter guns?

I'm just starting airsoft and I recently bought a Crosman Pulse R 76 AK 74u, I know it isn't very good so I am looking for a cheaply priced better quality gun that I could buy, thanks.

What's your budget? I hope it's at least $200-$300 at a minimum.
If it isn't, don't bother, and save more.

Styrak is right.

There is nothing 'good' beneath the price range that Styrak had mentioned. People will Suggest the Kraken, but thats honestly at the bottom of the line and i'd say just to move on. Not worth the money.

If you're going to spend a wad of dough, spend enough to make it worth while. Never settle for 'good enough' with airsoft guns. Settle with good, and you won't regret it. I kept on telling myself "Good enough will do" and I baught tons of shitty low end AEG's in hopes i'd get something good.

Nope, Never happened. Now I only buy namebrand stuff, costs a ton but hey. I'm enjoying it at the least.

Get age verified, and enjoy the selection presented to you. Its not a useless feature, its not stupid. Take a look at how many people are verified and enjoying the feature. It's well worth the process.

Our suggestion is to get age verified. Seriously.

Once the classifieds open up, there are so many opportunities and choices for airsoft guns. Its not right to suggest just a single gun when there are hundreds out there.

Read the FAQ, Arrange a meeting with a local rep, get AV'd, wait a week and get access. Go on from there.

AFAIK there aren't any public sources that stock items in that price range that are worth it. The only thing that comes to mind is the cheapest G&G clearsoft, and it's debatable if it's much better. I would argue that it's not a stepup worth ~300$ taxed and shipped.

You will find great used guns in that range if you're a bit patient in the classifieds.

You can check out my sig for a snapshot of the market.

Save up from $400-$700, maybe higher depending on what your looking for. And dont forget with that new gun, if they arent included your gunna need more magazines maybe even a smart charger so your looking at anything from $100 for a box of crappy mags, and a crappy charger to $200 for a few nice metal mags thatll hold up + a nice smart charger. But all these options start becoming more open when you become age verified.

Anything from G&G sportline series is a very good bet.

Once again, debatable. Sure it's better than Crossman stuff, but for so little more you get much, much more.

Dude seriously listen to the advice and get age verified. I didn't wait and got a gun before I was verified and then realized that I had overpaid when I compared the same thing in the classifieds. If you shop around a bit you can get some pretty stupid good deals. My buddy got his first gun in the classifieds. It was a G&G electric blowback M4 with a TM body and it was $190, its not the best gun in the world but its shoots well and didn't break the bank.

If you're on a budget, get AV and get a used gun, if you got money($500~$800) and want to buy something new, then just go to a local shop and buy one.

My first gun was a TM M4 RIS AEG, costed me 700+shipping from airsoft-world.com(they shut down now). Great starter gun, but lucky guns don't cost as much as they used to.

Also note: If you get AVed, it takes about 1 to 2 weeks before you can buy from the shop. But if you meet someone at a local game, half the time people are selling guns there, so most likely if you're too impatient to wait to be AVed you can buy one for someone at the game.

Also, if you decide to go new without AV, you will find yourself buying a gun with a clear lower receiver, in the AV section you can easily find full black or full metal guns.
