AKS74U selector switch won't move selector plate all the way to semi
So effectively the gun goes Safe - Auto - Auto
When I have the gearbox out of the gun, it'll go Safe - Auto - Semi. I've checked every other possible explanation - I even wired it externally to make sure the wires weren't interfering with the selector plate. I put it on semi and took out the gearbox, careful not to move the selector plate, and it wasn't even close to being on the "semi" selection. WTF? Last edited by Kid; August 4th, 2010 at 18:48.. |

are the teeth on the selector plates lined up properly?

Yeah. I'm not a noob. (I miss visible post counts)
I found out the problem. The selector lever has too much slack - one of the pieces that joins the lever to the plates is worn out. Got it glued and I'll try it out tomorrow. |
