VFC SR-16 Front Iron Sight Removal

I just got myself some new PTS MBUS to put on my Sr-16. The problem is I can't remove the front iron sight. I removed the flash hider, but I can't remove the two push pins; tried with a hammer and a hex wrench and they won't budge. I did remove the hex screw uner the front sight. Thanks.

OK first of all use a drift or punch, trying to use a hex isn't even a B-Team move.

Second make sure the pins aren't stepped or directional and you're not tapping on them from the wrong size.

Got one out, the other is still 1/2 a cm in. I'm hitting on the good side since the other side has a rounded edge (I guess). Yah I was using a punch, I don't know why I wrote a hex wrench.

Edit: Finally got it out, everything is working now. /thread.

Did you replace it with a gas block or anything? Can you post a pic of what it looks like with the mbus on? I have the same rifle.
