Lightbulb GREAT price on ESS Profile Airsoft Goggles w/ Cortex Clip

After much online shopping, I found a great price on the ESS Airsoft goggles. Shipping is good too: $22.75, by USPS, which means no Standard UPS brokerage fees.

This is the Airsoft version: OpFoam(tm) around the face and no foam in the vents. This product does not include the TurboFan(tm). The one with the fan cost 160$USD, minimum.

https://www.tx911gear.com/ProductDet...e=ESS 740-0374

I hope I made you save a few bucks... Or at least, spend less!

ES-GG-740-0243 ESS Tactical XT Military Goggles with Black Frame, Clear Lens and 40mm Strap - 740-0243 $46.99

That is the frame they use for the 179,00$ fan unit (without fan)
(((we chose this model because it fits well over prescription glasses)))

Total cost for 2X units was 114,73$ including shipping so... 115 -94 = 21$ shipping cost
so 47+21= 68$ us total for one pair (worst case scenario) PS I love them, I installed a fan myself f0r 10$ plus 9v battery.

Cheers

Pete

You are talking about the Cortex clip ONLY. I'm talking about the ESS Profile(tm) goggle, frame and lense + Cortex.

Thanks for making fun...

Hmmm... Tactical XT(tm). They are not Profile(tm). They are as good, only, I'm not sure that a Cortex clip (i.e. AirSoft-officializing) will fit. I believe you can put prescription glasses insert in most ESS goggle of that style.

I got the goggles today and I'm more than pleased with the fit, the clarity of the lense, the nose protection, and the cheek weld. I love them so much I'm thinking of getting a guest/backup pair! The frame is a bit flimsier than I expected, though. I'll show them to you at the next game. I'll take a closer look at your fan setup, which looks real nice. I figured I'd be able to solder some wires for the 110$ buck I saved not getting the TurboFan(tm) ones.

You beat me by 3$, but it's not the exact same product. Great deal too!

Why bother paying so much, when the clones go for 40$ with fan?
and they work just as good

Don't spout dangerous bullshit. When it comes to eye protection, go with the authentic and certified manufacturers.

I tested the lenses myself. 400fps w/ .25's and not even a crack!

Besides, you can swap the lenses if you want to feel more secure
My point, the frame of the goggle itself is much cheaper.

Untill you get a Silica (or any silis) BB in your lense...

Replicated safety gear will leave you with scars and sorrow.

How much your eyes worth? If you got 20/20 vision and if they are brown, I'll buy both of them. I'll DD the money fast and pay shipping!

oh dear non-denominatial deity another one of these fucking retarded threads about going cheap on protective eyewear. Silent Souljah did this test just last month on these goggles, impact dent from a AEG shooting near 400fps @ 10ft put a dent in the lense, and then a crack.

yes, I have perfect vision. But my eyes are not for sale! :P
However, like I stated above: you can always swap the lenses. The frame itself is really cheap if you buy it from ehobby for example.
Besides, I see a lot of people using safety glasses, which IMO, are far more ineffective.

I prefer my ESS safety glasses to your put together economy gogles. Even if you manage to put real lenses in them, there is no garanty the frame won't break, bend or waterver, rendering the lense innefective. If I organise a game and learn about someone using fake stuff as safety gear, I'll trow them out.

Oh, I have this very good chinese replica of a MK4 special force parachute. The reviews are good and the price is awsome. You can fit a real harnest to it, if it's not safe enough for you. You want it? We can go jumping next week.

I hope you see my point in this cheap irony.

Yeah, you've got a point there on the parachutes. I guess we can use the same logic for eye safety. I personally own a pair of ESS safety glasses myself, just for the looks .I somehow feel more secure using my EA Gear Turbo Fan DL Goggle Set that I purchased 6 months ago. They didn't look so cheap after I tested them. I only use them in really humid situations though. The fan does sound cheap :P

The glasses are plenty secure. I've been using them for more than 5 years. In readl CQB and outside. But if you feel safer in goggle, get a real pair. They are cheap enough. A pair of Bollé will cost you bellow 50$. Some ESS with fan are expensive though. Last time I checked, I saw a pair that was 200$, but that's 5 years ago when this thing was new and rare.
