A Proper Headset.
Alright, I've been looking around for a good week or so now doing research for a proper headset suitable for me. Problem is I can't seem to find a whole lot of reviews to really build a good conclusion. That started aggravating me to the point of just going to FuckingShit/BadBuy and buying one of the random VOX headsets they sell.
Having decided against that, I was hoping for some insight on a good headset. The other headgear I'm wearing is a normal Woodland Camo Boonie hat and a OD Shemagh, and due to a comfort issue, cannot wear a throat mic. Also I'm not looking for a superior top of the line mic that will outlast cockroaches. Just need a headset that will serve properly and isn't a complete piece of shit. I'd tell you what type of radio I have, but it's in the car and it's about 110F outside, so I'll just do my end of the research for compatibility. Thanks in advance for any input.

I have one of these, http://arniesairsoft.co.uk/news2/wp-...o-l%5B2%5D.jpg it's really nice.
The only downside is that if you set it up you need to thread it into your gear and it can be a hassle if you have a few sets of rigs or folks don't show up with radios on a regular basis.

Cavalvy headsets are excellent for the price. I know at least two teams from Mb that use them exclusively, one of which is my own. They can be found at Redwolf.

hey man, I use this model of the cavalvy. Good price and haven't had any issues with it over past year and a half.
http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/cavalvy-e...adset-tan.html edit: mine at the time came with pushbutton and cables, the one above linked does not. Also make sure you buy the right style pin for the correct radio you are using. ie: Motorola style pin with Motorola radios.

If you want to go cheap, use a black Xbox 360 headset

I have some Cavalvy in stock with more coming in soon. Devgru as well. If you like something more stealthy you may want to consider an Acoustic Tube setup. I have hooked up a number of players and they seem to like them.

I hope you don't mind me crashing your thread with my own headset issue. I have a pair of Cobra CXR700 microTALK 25-Mile Radios and they work great but, as you might have guessed, I can't find a headst that works with them. Telephone sets, the Xbox 360 headset and a motrola set made for FRF/GMRS radios all fail to fit properly. I know Cobra makes one that presumeably works but the only place I've found it is on amazon.com and they won't ship to Canada. I only paid $50 for them so it's not as though I can't buy a different radio that's compatible with easily found headsets but I'd rather not if I don't have to. Any thoughts?
