what gun should i get???

hey guys im new to airsoft but i do have some experience in paintball(hope it will come in handy)

im looking to buy my first aeg or a spring sniper
i have already purchased a kJworks mk1 pistol which is awesome btw

i know that most of u are going to say go with an aeg which i get, but i think i may have found an ok sniper. i think its the well l96 its $280 on buy airsoftcanada

i am willing to pay 200 to MAYBE 400
some aegs i have in mind are:
ics cxp concept its about $335 at poco military

used classic army m16a4 it says its all black and metal and has a tightbore inner barrel and a syst motor with heat sinks and reinforced gb
full RIS/RAS systme, fore grip, red dot scope, hard case, 3 high cap mags

all that for $350

i was also thinking of the KWA g36c which i think is about $380

i also found a used tm ak47 for $350/400

so ya i would like to know ur opinions on these guns or any other guns that are good for nooblets?

Get age verified here and a whole world of AEG's etc will open up to you. The Well L96 is piece of garbage, the sear is made of monkey metal and will wear down after a few hundred shots.

Keep in mind you should budget about $800 to get into the sport as a beginner.

Its best not to shop at crapsoft tire but 500$ for a gun is good.

just because its used doesn't mean worse infact used guns often come with better parts and upgrades. just like paintball guns take E grip for example on a non egrip gun.

Classifieds are generally filled with used guns, yes.

But there also is the Retailer section. Which is full of retailers with new guns both here on this website, once you get Age Verified.

This websites classifieds contain both new and used items.
Used items are not always poorer quality, in fact many used items can already come upgraded or have had known issues repaired by the previous owner.

With the budget you have set I am curious if you remembered to factor in the cost of additional magazines, batteries and BBs

On the topic of craigslist I would be wary. As it seems you some what lacking in knowledge someone could capitalize on the situation and pull a fast one on you. Unless you can physically meet with the seller and inspect the item I would be wary with any craigslist transactions.

In the mean time please take some time to review some of the threads in the frequently asked questions section as it contains many threads on topics that will prove useful to you.

Just a note that the $800 doesn't have to be spent right off the bat however does make your experience much more enjoyable.

$600 is pretty reasonable to start off with, especially if you come from a woodsball background and may or may not have BDU's, goggles, and other equipment that's common to airsoft and paintball. Then after that 2 or 3 months later you can drop another $200 or 300.

Also consider talking to Optix, Kampfer or Crash the local AV reps for the Vancouver/lower mainland area. Avoid buyairsoft as much as you can.

For being a sniper, it's probably better to borrow and see what it's like than spending $1000+ on a gun that you may or may not like. It's definitely not for beginners and people who think sniping is like in Modern Warfare, however if you've played Operation Flashpoint, ARMA or a military simulator, although it's still not a good representation it's better at showing you what being a sniper is like than in COD.

Stock I would say the max effective range for the ICS would be no more than 25-30 meters if not less. Internally all upgrades that can be done to an ICS split V2 can be done to the concept.
