VFC firing glitch

Hi everyone,

After pondering and also doing some research I decided to just do a quick post to see if any docs here can do a fast check on my situation.

Basically I have a brand new vfc scar cqc, was doing some target shooting with it at home. I was only doing semi because I was tryin to Zero the rifle(to no avail still! I'm in an apartment so it's hopeless ), with a d-boys mid cap mag.

I was firing and adjusting the hop up(because for some reason it bullets where dropping way below the iron sights) to increase tiny bit by bit to test the difference(I took care not to FORCE the hopup to turn, was going about 1/6 turn per trail). After tuning it a bit t seemed better and bullets would hit close to the sights.

Then one time trigger stuck on semi, as if the safety was engaged. I switched to safe, then back to semi, still stuck(I didn't pull the trigger hard by the way just enough to know it's stuck). I took out the mag and looked to see if any jamming in the feed, nothing. I then tried to switch to auto, and tried a small burst, the trigger was able to fire. After, I switched back to semi, and dry fired it once or twice and it was fine.

I'm now kinda scared to put my mag back in... Were there some major problem caused because of my actions? Sorry I'm new to airsoft in general and don't want to break my new baby. ;(

Thanks so much everyone on this...

That's common, so I've heard. Make sure you pull the trigger fully in Semi, no half-pulls.

Also, I heard that a good battery could probably help in reducing the commonly known "trigger glitch"

That happens every so often with my VFC SCAR-L. Just switch to auto then back to semi. I forgot what the exact mechanism is between the two. There was a very elaborate post on the forums about it. Search it up. There is probably some lever or arm that gets released when you set to auto, freeing your trigger up.

I am not familiar with airsoft.

What my question is, does the element of surprise work on a typical airsoft match?

The cut-off lever is getting stuck under the trigger carrier, because the gears stopped right where the lever is activated. Switching to full auto disengage the lever, letting the carrier move back as normal.

Solution, hold trigger until your gun stop in semi, or use a larger battery that will cycle your gun faster than you can release the trigger.

I Dont know if there's a larger battery that can fit into my rifle... Maybe a more powerful battery?

Also when tried to put in my battery in the stock, there was a fuse and wires everything in the compartment. I couldn't fit in in and had to push a bit to get battery to stay, hope didn't damage anything

But I'm glad to hear it isn't damaged to my relief! I will post my baby's picture up as promised in my original scar thread!

Thanks guys

I found that the wiring is pretty weak. I had the same problem getting my 9.6V 1600mAh in there. I couldn't put my stock to the lowest setting if I did so either. After a few games, the wiring broke. I ended up replacing almost all of the wiring.

I couldn't get the wiring on the hinge off though. I replaced it all with the silver coated copper wiring. It's a bit thicker and stiffer. I don't think it will break as easily as before.

You should eventually get more confident with your rifle, and be able to remove the fuse and re-wire the gun with better quality wires that will not the in the way.

You can also install a quite large 7.4v LiPo battery in there that will drive your gun better. Again, you must know quite a lot about LiPos before doing so.

Looking forward to meeting more people and learning the ways!

So far for wires I think if i don't tug an d pull it too much it should be fine? I know the wires are kinda stiff and may snap if tempered with allot and i don't want that to happen.

I used Hyperion 35C lipos7.4v with 2020mAh and they made the gun run insanely well. I had the prob u were having till I switched to them and then it disappeared. But like everyone says u need to know lipos well before using them. They ain't that dangerous but better to be careful hehe
