SHS brand gears

Hi, I'm interested in purchasing super high speed gears from the brand SHS. Can someone tell me how good they are? The gears are super high speed with a ratio of 13:1. Is that good?

I'm waiting to receive my low noise SHS gears from ehobby, I'll be installing those as soon as they get home. I'll keep you updated. (I know these aren't high speed, but it's same brand)

they are a cnc steel gear set with decent build quality. I definately wouldn't put them up there with prometheus but still better than element. I've only cycled through about 1k rounds so I can't comment on durability just yet. They are loud though. much louder than the systema flat high speed gear set i'm also using.

SHS, 5ku, and Element are so similar that I believe they are all the same gears. They are a decent buy for the low end / bargain brand. If it breaks toss them.

I'd stay away from them. Think about the stress your gears go through, especialy on a high speed set up.Buy quality. Prometheus would be a wise choice.

Just installed mine in my M16, they run quite well, I ordered these:http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/shs-low-n...3-100-200.html with a SHS delayer, and it runs perfectly. It is written high speed on the box, and they spin quite fast too. So far, so good.

I've heard the delayer may cause compression issues. Do u have any issues?

I wasn't able to test it out, I've just installed the new mechbox in the gun, and I fell in love with my spare M4 I had, as it runs like a beast. M16 is now my backup and for sale, but the only thing I see that could cause compression issues is the nozzle not sitting fast enought into the hop-up. This might be fixed with a good nozzle which slides free but still seals, and a strong tappet plate spring to make sure it gets back fast enought.

If there (SHS) sector chip is not the same design as the new king arms one, expect to replace your very worn out tappet plate in the near future.

Yeah I saw that the tappet plate was flexing a lot, I'll see how it goes, I might game it tomorrow, but I'd prefer gaming my M4 as I'm part of a FBI unit, it would be more appropriate.

I'd say giver shit man, if it holds it holds, if it doesnt then you know a new "enhanced" tappet plate might be in order. Or you can take a bit of material off the sector chip as well. Good luck man.

If your tappet plate does explode, get a King Arms tappet plate, the red colour pretty much makes them indestructible.
