airsoft-club cadpat too good to be true?
I was looking for some fairly cheap cadpat that wasn't going to wear out or fade. I found a set on www.airsoft-club.com for real cheap. Does anyone know if this is junk or if it's actually good. thx

Sorry bro... thats the knock off crap. Frontenac is what you want. Flecktarn.co.uk has it and so does Surplusig.com in MTL. Issac is the guy there. I bought my Italian Teams CADPAT from Them.

It certainly looks good, but for that price, I wouldn't be too confident about it lasting any significant period of time. And I would seriously question its fade-resistance...

The gear on that site is extraordinarily cheap and -will break-. If all you want is something to ponce around in the basement taking photos, then you'll be fine, but if you want to use the gear in a game, I would recommend buying higher quality gear.

Army Issue Surplus
Reasons to buy. 1) he actually plays airsoft so he knows what works for what we do. 2) he knows what is the good shit versus the bad shit. 3) he has the good shit in stock

Has anyone who has commented that it's shit actually tried some? Or are you just going on the assumption that because it is low cost it is crap?
There are exceptions to every rule guys, For the price I'm half tempted to get a set of Flecktarn or something just to put it to the test. I've got my good set of Cadpat that cost alot more than those, but you never know. Just sayin, don't shit on a product if you have no experience with it. |

Airsoft-club is like any other air soft store selling reproduction stuff. The Nylon stuff and repro optics are usually serviceable in quality but I would suggest when dealing with such a low cost item like BDU's or clothes to pay the extra money and get the good stuff.
Personally my budget is very thin, but I would rather wait and do without than buy a considerably lower quality item. Cheers. |

you realise that shipping from there is going to run you about 30 bucks bringing the total to almost 60 bucks landed. It's not as good of a deal as you might think.

That site is lols. Repro Mechanix gloves. for $20. The real thing only costs $35 in country. The repro's (judging just from the stitching and choice of palm padding) probably won't last one serious game of airsoft. I've owned Mechanix for over a year of pretty hard airsofting. I only bought a second pair because I temporarily lost mine before an event. Now I have two, one I hand out to players who need protection at games I attend.

Find a location https://www.acklandsgrainger.com/AGI...1z12l9l/Ne-67l Pricing on Mechanic wear. But seriously. In terms of BDU's be prepared to spend around 50 bucks per item (50 for shirt ect..) for good reliable quality. And don't be afraid to hunt around. That being said, many of the "real" products out there are stupidly overpriced as well. So sometimes a copy at half the price is just as good (or almost) as the real thing. So how about this... you order that set, use it a few games, run it through a few washes, and then let us know how it holds up. Then we'll all know for sure.

I think I will order up a set next week. I'll put it to the torture test (sliding down hills, diving into the grass, crawling across some rocks) then wash it a bunch of times and see how it holds up. If I end up with bleached out shredded rags then I'll know to shut my mouth and listen next time. lol |
