G36K Selector Switch Falling off.
Hey,
Recently my selector switch fell off and I was wondering if there was a way to mount it back on. But since the g36 is for both left and right handed people ( I don't know how to spell the term =) ) it is not a real bother for me. Also it just fell off and it appear the screw broke so one end is stuck. Would a really small amount of glue work like enough to take it off when needed?

I just redrill the switch and put a bigger screw in it.

I only do it to the switch that needs it. No need if the other is fine, be careful don't lose the nub off the switch when you dismantle it.

You could also buy a new selector switch set.

The screw is a set screw...
Depending on the brand of your gun it is either 1.5mm or 1.3mm (0.05"). If you don't know yet, a set screw is a screw that has no head. The hole in the center is hex shaped (allen). You have to remove the mechbox and press the inside mechanism against the lower body shell before re-installing. Otherwise you will have a loose selector again. |
