Inner Barrel/Silencer Question

I have a JG M4A1 from Velocity Arms, and I was wondering if this: http://torontoairsoft.com/product.php?id_product=82 would fit on the gun, and if the battery would be able to still be housed in the fore-grips. Also, because it comes with a silencer, would it be able to hide this: http://torontoairsoft.com/product.php?id_product=363 ?

Thanks for the info. PEQ boxes look weird to me, and I'm not really in the mood of buying a new stock. Has anybody ever used on of these http://torontoairsoft.com/product.php?id_product=321 and/or have pics to post?
Also how would the wiring work with one of these?

same as a PEQ box. wires will hang out the top with a connector and your mechbox wires will hang out from the ris/ras hand grip with a connector on the end. you could probably tuck them back in to hide them.

You don't like the AN/PEQ-15?
http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/king-arms...ase-black.html
Alternatively you could wire your gun to the rear and buy a battery stock like a G&P crane stock.

As I said before, PEQ boxes look funny to me, and rewiring and buying a new stock seems like a bad option as I already need a foregrip, so this could kill two birds with one stone

I have this d boys ris set from velocity arms. the barrel that it comes with is very short (4 inches) unless you are using a longer barrel like the one that came with the gun it wont be able to house a longer inner barrel. If your battery is an 8.4v mini or smaller get the grip, if its anything bigger then it wont fit. For my gun, i ended up rewiring to the back.

EDIT: http://torontoairsoft.com/product.php?id_product=329 this seems to be easier, although it says it wont fit a battery but it is cheaper.

The foregrip looks pretty small, Ive thought about using this method before, only to get dumped in my bad idea bin of thoughts. I doubt it can hold a 8.4v Mini, which is still a pretty lacking battery.

Hazah! http://www.ebairsoft.com/rail-batter...ry-p-2104.html

Low quality lipo, just take care of it, shall be okay.

Says it's a 1100mah 15C, but the pic shows a 1200mah 12C.
You'll have to buy a fuse and a PCB to use a LiPo that small. It can only handle 14A continuous so buy a 10A fuse. And with that low amperage, you'll need a PCB to make sure you don't overdischarge the cells, because if you overdischarge it, it'll go up in flames next time you charge it.

WOW! Thanks for the links guys, appreciate it
And the crappy battery that came with the gun is an 8.4 V mini, but I plan to go to the local RC shop and pick up a suitable charger and battery.

As far as the fore-grips go, do they fit just like the regular handguards, as in split into two parts?

"Replace your standard M4 handugards with these. Simply slide them into the delta ring, the same as normal. Caution: Batteries will not fit with these. A battery box or rear wiring to the stock is required." That quote off Velocity Arms seemed strangely worded to me.

Last question for now: If I was to buy a stock to house the battery, would i need to rewire it, or could i just get long enough wires to loop back around the gearbox?

They fit into the front just like the plastic foregrip that came with the gun.

There is no space to loop around inside the gun and outside just won't look right. new switch assembly is not very expensive, and if you can solder then wires/connectors are very cheap.

My guns wiring is messed up as it is, and frankly I am too scared to open up the gearbox to diagnose it. I know it's a wiring issue, as I took a multimeter to it, and I know that the wirign is broken somewhere between the trigger and the motor (it's not the fuse). I could probably get someone to fix it for me and also rewire it to the back while they're at it

This stock has a battery compartment, but I'm not sure how it works. Do the wires run up the buffer tube into the stock?

I have that stock and can tell you it is very difficult to store a standard battery in it. Lipo yes but mini's are tough. the storage compartment is just that. storage for 2 x cr123 batteries.

I had a custom 9.6v mini battery made up and it fits but it's not easy to collapse or extend without some tinkering due to the placement of the wires. the stock had to be modified as well to have the wires routed to the right places. 2 batteries in the storage slot, and 2 rows of 3 in the buffer tube.

since then, I put that stock onto my m500 shotty and went back to a full stock on the AR.

I will probably settle for whatever comes my way the soonest, I was thinking of dropping by Huang's shop and picking some stuff up anyways (rail system, batteries/charger, EoTech clone and maybe some mags)

Bring 8 loose AA baterries at the store and try to fit them... I hated the battery box on my cxp so I modified a 2000 mha 8aa cell pack of intellect and it fits perfectly... (( weird 3 bat L + 3bat L + 1 + 1))

Just loose the original fuse holder and go with automotive fuse using lateral contacts... or some loose the fuse completely (not me)

While your at it... install a one prong connector thats flush with the receiver top and plug your charger in there without removing the battery pack!

Need more room got to 7 cell 8.4v or 6 cell 7.2v (to slow for my taste) and polish the piston rail gliders inside the receiver to minimize resistance.

Cheers,

Pete
