In the barracks before Ops in the Mout facility at Camp Rilea during Milsim West's Crimean Crisis!

I'm the guy on the left.

The redoubt vest(i borrowed from another southern comrade) was complete with the original soft armour and ballistic steel plates!

Hey guys, I've got a Defender II here, what do you guys usually do to fill these out?

For NATO styled armour systems, I've laways just used my training plates or the fake airsoft shell, but they're different than Russian plates. Worst case, I may have to "add" to a fake shell to try bring it to Russian dimensions, but I'd like to hear your guys solutions first.

Also working on getting a 6B3 for my soviet kit and some Asura Fynamics stuff for my TM 74M, I might do a SOBR load out

We'll i've handled several real russian plates from fort and they all were coated hardened steel.

Best repro i've seen is plates made of pvc sheets that were cut to shape then bent to give a similar curvature.

also defenders have 4 plates; 2 curved trapezoid shaped plates for the top front and back and 2 curved rectangular plates for the lower half front and back. The plates also slightly overlap.

At the moment my defender just has the simulated Kevlar, though I plan on making some hard plates for it soon. There was a good thread on RA with some dimensions
http://www.red-alliance.net/forum/in...?topic=22357.0
I was planning on using some plastic sheets, heating them and shaping.

I might be starting a new job with better pay shortly, if I do, I've no problem with the possibility of having something made up, based on those dimensions. Thanks!

Off_Kilter, thanks as well

i'll take pics of my PVC plates when possible.

Do you know the maker of your defender?(if its not an original) IF its an originial what size is it?

Fort made many carriers but only two sizes of plates (small and large) for their vests.

Far as I know it's a repro. No idea who makes it. I'll dig it out later and see if theres a tag or anything.
